My dad apologizing to me after we had a “fight” He’s always had anger issues and when my mom and him were married it was very toxic and he would end up physically abusing her. That was almost 20 years ago. Hes changed a lot and his temper died down a lot. We’ve been rebuilding our father daughter relationship for a couple years now. He sort of went backwards. (Not physical violence) He is having chronic knee pain and ended up shouting and yelling at me because he got frustrated about something and threw and an object on the floor. I felt taken back and questioned our relationship. After a week or two I told him how I felt that I felt scared and uncomfortable being around him after that. He fully validated my feelings and apologized. That’s HUGE for my dad. It was also special because it was his birthday, For the first time in a long time I shed some tears thinking to myself.. “I love my dad….”
Christ heals Christ forgives. It’s hard but it happens slowly.

Having the energy to get dressed and get groceries early this morning. The woman that helped me at the deli called me “honey” twice and she was just so pleasant and smiley. People like that are such bright lights. Angels!

@LaurenWhoListens. My friend that was recently my ex gave me a hug said because he finally understood that it wasn’t my fault and it wasn’t his fault.
