Trauma

PhoenixOnFire123 January 29th, 2023

Anyone know what trauma feels like? After it happens there is an empty hole in your chest. Its cold and dark in there, no way out. Its scary walking around it, so you choose to go into the hole. The dark absorbs you and takes over. You experience depression and anger. Well that is how I feel. I chose to start using 7cups to help with my mental state. Its helping very much. Im glad I joined.

@PhoenixOnFire123,

Hey there, looks like your are going through your tough days. Yes trauma definitely leaves many parts of us the shell of the personality it has been. I understand that you are feeling there isn't any way out. It's easier to submit than fight against the darkness that lurking in the corner during these days. I would have felt the same if I was in your shoes. All the shock and fear ultimately give way to depression. It's natural that you feel angry because others don't understand why you are the way you are. It's frustrating to realise that you are struggling and yet you aren't able to help it fast enough. But I am so proud that you are reaching out !!!! Glad to know that our cup friends are making you feel better. Have you checked out self help guides we have at cups? Those can provide a better idea about depression. I understand that it's tough. I know that in all the faze, it hard to believe that there's a way out. Please know that you can take this to a better spot eventually. Also I can't stress this enough, you aren't alone here!

Thank you! I agree. I need to try to fight through the pain instead of living in it. Im trying alot of things. It takes time for things to change but for now I am getting help and talking about my feelings alot. ❤️

@PhoenixOnFire123,

Yayyy that's the spirit! 🍰 for your awesome self! I am happy to know that being here is helping you 💕

We might need to take plenty of steps back. Maybe you might feel that you didn't give your best. But always try to remind yourself that it's okay, we can eventually try again!

Hi yeah. I do. It still scares me sometimes. I feel my anxiety rising up. Like I don't have the courage to go through it anymore. But there are times that I have to face my fears because my future depends upon it.

I had another trauma but I don't know it it's trauma or just the shocked of seeing a dead body on the street. It happened 5 years ago, there was a shoot out and thanked God, when my cab passed by the shooting's over but as we passed by I saw a dead man lying on the street.

Until today, every time I would have to pass by that area. The image of what I saw is like fresh to me still. I can't even walk in that area even if I would since its the fastest route.
