Posting once a week until I'm truly happy with life: #1

sunnyLake7661 Thursday

Hello

I just recently joined and had some pretty bad thoughts about myself and my current life situation. I enjoy art, writing, some sports,  and dabbling in whatever creative thing comes up. I also enjoy games here and there. And since this is my first post I thought it would be best here in the newbie hub.

I have many issues with myself at the moment. So I decided it'd be best if I came here just to sort out how I feel and maybe connect with some people. Right now I want to change my life for the better and I feel like sharing at least some parts of my life will not only help me reflect on how I feel but also serve as something to look back on. Don't get it twisted though I don't view this site as a personal journal but more as a community I can be honest with. I don't usually act this open in real life.

I'm not certain if I'll post every week and I'm not sure how long I will post for but I hope that this will be some type of push out of the slump I'm currently in. And yeah I'll probably still come back to the website now and then to speak or listen to the lovable community here. Have a good night and if it's not nighttime where you are then I bid you a good day!

Hiya @sunnyLake7661 welcome to the community. I'm really glad you're trying to do better for yourself in life, having a community as this one could be helpful in reminding yourself that you're not alone and that you've got people you can be open with or confide in.💛

You can of course post here whenever you feel like and can also browse for chatrooms to connect with more people.

Ooh while having sense of belonging in a community can be helpful, and I'm proud of you for reaching out; for the times you do wish to maintain a journal for yourself or limited people here that you feel comfortable with, you can also check out and create a thread in the journals and diaries community- https://www.7cups.com/forum/journal/

I hope you have a restful weekend ahead.🌞

Thank you, don't take me being cautious as a sign of being intimidated by you all. It fits with mine and other's fear of coming off "too strong".   What you said was helpful to hear however, you must be a very friendly person. I hope you have a good weekend as well.

Hi! I'm pretty new here too! Glad you also found this community. I have been finishing my "path" exercises here daily and also try and add a journal entry when I feel pulled to it. I also Journal daily here at home.

I also love to craft and "tinker" as I call it. It helps with self-expression and just pure enjoyment and distraction from things. Right now, I'm putting together a calendar-planner-journal for myself with a 3-ring binder with all the writing prompts and goal planning I want that I can't seem to find in other store bought ones I've seen online and in stores. This 3-ring binder will also be a new year resolution and love letter to myself. It will hold me accountable and help me alchemize my dreams.

Anyway, welcome and feel free to reach out and share what you're crafting. I love inspiration.

Those are some sound steps to take; calendar and journals, I've attempted them previously but I feel sometimes my day-to-day isn't substantial enough to warrant one, I'm curious what type of things you put down yourself.  I heard about a popular thing where you make a list of 100 things you want to do/gain in life. I've never really stopped to try, and it's hard to think of 100 things at the top of your head. You sound awesome and hopefully, I will match your level of organization. Of course if I get some inspiration I might try my hand at crafting something and share, although sadly I've been pressed for time. Kinda wish we didn't have to sleep and days were longer though if that was the case employers would just make work hours exceedingly long.
