What can I do if I broke a rule?
Right now, I'm feeling terrible. I broke a rule I knew was a rule. I did it anyway. There was a mod who handled it great, but I feel as though I need to do something to redeem myself to this mod. What should I do? I feel horrible and I don't think I've ever broken a rule on 7cups until today. And don't worry if you don't want to respond. I'm still getting used to making forum threads, and I'm okay if it gets deleted if it's misplaced. Thank you for helping me out. :)
It's understandable that you feel terrible after breaking a rule. You feel bad because you still have a good heart Maybe apologizing to that mod and not repeating that again will help?
@Mike1225 Coming from the perspective of someone who is a mod: we see people break the rules every day, and I certainly wouldn't ever hold it against anyone! When someone is repeatedly breaking rules on purpose, that's when it becomes frustrating and that's when we usually have to take more serious measures to ensure the safety of the community. However, in a once-off scenario like you've mentioned, well, everyone makes mistakes, and what matters is committing to not doing so again.
If you think the mod did a great job, write them a positive review using this form. And try to go easy on yourself. We all have our moments where we don't behave our best.
@Mike1225
Honestly, the only way to redeem yourself to the mod is to simply adhere to the rules in future. ☺ It seems like the situation was handled well and calmly so it seems best to move forward with the goal to follow the chatroom rules.
@Mike1225 this is another member of 7 cups replying to what you said at the top, I was wondering what rule did you break can you tell me
Can anyone tell me what is a mod that mike is referring to is it automatic programmed listener
@Honeypatt1991 Mod is a shortened version of the word moderator. They are people who moderate the content in our chatrooms to ensure that the rules are being followed to keep everyone safe onsite.
:(
@Natalie1225 if you drop a spoon on the floor here i think they ban your account

At 7Cups we are like a family and like a family,we try to help each other out.
I tell the person or persons that your truly sorry. and that it will not happen again.
Then work really hard at remembering what the rules are,so you do not brake them again.
