Some pretty extreme bullying
I had a "friend" when I was a kid, age 5-7 or so, but I don't even know what to make of it all today. He lived two houses down, and we had the same classes, so we used to hang out. Sometimes it would be fun, but mostly, it really wasn't. He reminded me of Shredder from the original Ninja Turtles cartoon, because he had an evil scheme everyday and never ran out of ideas. Usually it would involve him spending a long time to convince me to do something with him that could get us in trouble. Other times, it was worse. One time he stabbed himself with a toy and convinced me he was dead and I ended up calling emergency. One time, he had a capgun and started shooting at me... I didn't even know those existed, and while I was crying and begging for my life, he held it to my head and said "you breathe, you die.". Also, he was in karate and loved to lock me in a room and try to make me defend myself while he proceeded to beat me up. This must've happened about 20 times, and I'd be crying and refusing to defend myself. One time I finally snapped and caught him off guard... I almost put him in the hospital. It was even worse sometimes... He'd want me to destroy anything in my room that looked remotely sentimental. Also, I was a weird nerdy kid that knew the capital of every state and country and what the flags looked like. Grownups would quiz me, until he somehow talked me into purposely answering wrong. Somehow, that was the worst thing. I also remember that when I'd stay the night, he'd be sleeping in a king sized bed that looked like it was made for royalty, while I was given a floor pallet with the most uncomfortable Daffy Duck pillow imaginable. We dropped off contact eventually, but we met up around age 21 to go drinking. He ditched me far from home without a ride after an hour.
Anyway, I can't pretend to know how it all effects me to this day. I know that bullying tends to make me project my voice and tell people off to the point that they get scared. If I don't do that, I have a tendency to beat the physically crap out of myself. I've lessened both of those reactions considerably this year, but it never really goes away. I also notice that i can pretty easily sense people's character, and I keep pretty much everyone in the corner of my eye regardless. If something unexpected comes up with someone that isn't good, I tend to spiral and overgeneralize their reaction to feel like everyone probably feels that way about me.
Anyways, I don't know what my point is. I don't have specific questions, but I felt like I should share. I might get something from it and so might someone else.
@Torean
Thanks for sharing! It can help to just share and have our stories heard and acknowledged. I felt sad reading about that little boy's experiences with such a rough/mean friend. Not having that meanness inside it seems it was hard for you to understand it! And all those years later, how interesting that this man is still behaving in those ways.
💛
@Torean oh that's really sad 😢 that boy should be kept in a mental health hospital 😥 I'm sorry you were bullied so bad. That kind of trauma will effect you in different ways, and yep socialising won't be easy for you. I'm gonna add that guy to my hit list. Gives you a giant tiny hug ❤I love you ❤
@Tinywhisper11
*Hugs* I love you too. 🥰. This post I did remember doing... I had to get that off my chest at some point. As for him being on your hit list, he's uh... He's in prison. For the wrong reason. He tried to stand up to a guy that was heavily abusing his dog, and literally had to go as far as killing the guy in self defense. I wasn't there, but the way he put things, I believe him 100%. Not everything was bad about him, but I have no idea how he got that way. His family was from Iran, and his mom was the sweetest lady ever. And his dad was just plain goofy. I remember he kinda taught me things and was around more than my dad. One thing he wouldn't do is let me try his cooking, which as middle eastern food, smells insanely good. He would just keep telling me it was dog **** and that I wouldn't like it. Also ended up with him as a college professor, and we were taking a test worth a quarter of our grade, and he's just over there starting to make impatient noises. At some point he just stood up and said something like, "Just hand in what you have. I'm going to bump your grades up for what's unfinished, I just want to go home and get drunk."
@Torean well I guess he's got some nice things about him. But that doesn't excuse all the bad stuff either. I wonder if he always suffered from some sort of learning or mental disorder that went unnoticed. I guess when it comes down to it all, you can't ever really know it judge a person. But you can hate them😈
@Tinywhisper11
That's all true. I feel like he got in with a bad crowd somewhere, but I don't really know where. His sister was maybe 6-8 years older and hung out with possibly questionable people, so that's my best guess. Then again, he spent more time with me than them. And I dunno, it was weird. He didn't even want to act like he knew me at school, but if anyone else tried to bully me, he would stand up for me. I feel more neutral about him than anything at this point, I just wish I understood.
@Torean that's fair enough, but I think perhaps you should stay away from him now. He's a very unpredictable guy, your safety comes first
@Torean
You didn't deserve any of this and I'm so sorry he traumatized you :'(
@jesusredeemedme2425 let's do something nice for torean🤔🤔🤔 ok I'm gonna give him a globe 🌎 cause he means the world to me ❤
ok kiara now you give torean a virtual present 🎁
bet my gift is better than what you give him😎😁
@Tinywhisper11
I give him my friendship and love. <3 That's the best gift of all! <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 damn! Well I give him a globe 🌎 my heart ❤ my friendship, and a place to store dead bodies😎
best that!
@Tinywhisper11
And... where are you getting these bodies from??? I'm hoping you mean like... giving dead things a nice burial and funeral <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
Also, I'm gonna go super deep here but...
I wonder if the fact that you always talk about dead bodies, is a way that you are processing all the trauma you've endured? Using humor as a way to lessen its power? *Thinks in psychology-ese*
@jesusredeemedme2425 yes humour as become my main coping mechanism. Now back to torean ...
I give go team a mansion full of kittens and puppies, that can speak english, and a Kermit the frog teddy😁 I win
@Tinywhisper11
You both win 😁😁 and you both get to live with me in the puppy and kitty mansion. And you both get to have an exotic animal of your choice.
@Torean
OOH can I have a wolf???? <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
Bwaha, can't wait to see where this contest leads next. You can totally have a wolf. I'm choosing a sea lion.
@Torean
What made you choose a sea lion? Ohhhhh they make farting sounds a lot XD
@jesusredeemedme2425
I got kissed by a sea lion once. Right on the nose. It was really sweet, but it smelled really really fishy, as you might imagine. I absolutely froze and giggled. I'm glad that it didn't try to eat my nose.
Awww that’s adorable <3 Sea Lion kisses!!! :)
