Has anyone talked to their therapist/have any experience with repressed memories? I had an epiphany that from age 12-18 I had a specific way of locking away the things that were too dark to deal with

@pandaprincess9 do you have any idea what happened during those years,? from what others have ssid? I can't remember the last year or so with my owners. I can't remember them rescuing me, I remember waking up in hospital. Some times I think it's a blessing not to remember, but then it's curiosity a part of you wants answers. Do you want to know  what happened during those years??

@Tinywhisper11 Yes! There was a lot of violence and neglect going on in my household. I have some memories of traumatic events, but not all besides the moments after when I remember thinking to myself "That one goes in the vault... Annnnd it's gone." Thank you very much for your input, it definitely was helpful

@pandaprincess9 see I dont do it on purpose. Its like things repress themselves. Some things I just don't remember other than tiny bits and pieces. Others if I think back to that time or focus on the event I can remember what happened but normally I just try to pretend it never happened cause its better for my mental health tbh
