The Gratitude Project: List 3 Things That You Are Grateful For...
Hi there,
Today we will learn a little more about gratitude and learn how to express this. Studies have shown that if you practice daily gratitude practice, it can make you feel happier and improve your health.
What is Gratitude?
Gratitude is the expression of appreciation for what one already has and not ones future desires or hopes. It is generated from within. This social emotion strengthens relationships, and its roots run deep in evolutionary history, and it stems from the survival value of helping others and being helped in return. Studies show that specific areas of the brain are involved in experiencing and expressing gratitude. Brain scans of people assigned a task that stimulates gratitude show lasting changes in the prefrontal cortex that heighten sensitivity to future experiences of gratitude, thus feeling happier and healthier.
Please list 3 things that you are grateful for and share daily if you feel comfortable to do so!
@LisaDeRegtMBPsS This is an amazing thread, Lisa. Thank you for starting it. Gratitude really allows one to be mindful of what good things they have and allows one to move forward with focus during rough times as well.
Three things I am grateful for today is:
1. Participating in different activities of group chatroom and having good interaction with my listeners and members. It always reminds me why I signed up as a listener.
2. For communicating with some leaders and brainstorming and problem-solving some challenges. It is good to have these amazing and wonderful team members who are proactive in problem-solve and always up for teamwork.
3. For being part of Today because again today I learned some new things.
Bonus: This thread! Because if I wouldn't be writing it in this thread, I might not be reflecting on what I was grateful for today in this very moment. Thank you

Greetings! Three things I am grateful for are:
1. I have a Supportive Family: I thank the Almighty God for having a supportive family who always cheers me up and backs me in every decision I make. It is a blessing.
2. I am employed: I am grateful again for Almighty God and his Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) that I am employed, and I am doing a job at a respectable place.
3. I have freedom: I am free and alive. I can think, and I know what is going around me. This power of observation is priceless.
Thank You.

@LisaDeRegtMBPsS
1. My family. Like every family environment, we all have our ups and downs, yet we have each other to support and I wouldn't have managed to do things without them sticking by me.
2. Being able to wake up, breathe, and see another day. Sometimes, we take the smallest things—like our oxygen—for granted when, in reality, they're quite huge things to be thankful for
3. My achievements (so far). Up to this point, I'd say my life has included its fair share of immense struggles, yet through them, I was able to stay resilient, fight throught them, and attain big things. So I hope I'm able to continue my personal journey to success in the goals I have in mind.
1. Supportive people here on 7cups who have helped me a great deal! 2. Honestly, my privilege - the easy access to books and tech (both adds to mental health care resources), discounted healthcare. 3. Friends who still check in on me
