I want to get rid of my habit of worrying about everything and trying to fix everything, when most of it is not mine to fix.

I want to keep my habit of taking daily walks outside.

@thoughtfulmomma

Great goals! You can't fix everything, no one can. Walking daily sounds good. Do you walk in the neighborhood or go to special places like parks?

1 reply

I like to get away from my house and visit local parks that are quiet.

@amiablePeace77     What's one habit you want to get rid of and one habit you want to keep for the next year?

Get rid of reacting in an irritated or angry way because it makes me feel miserable.

Keep the habit of exercising the body and mind  every day.

@soulsings

I find anything that has its root in pure anger harms us so great you want to work on it!

@WorkingitThrough2 overthinking  leads to feeling miserable in my experience so a good thing to give up.

What's one habit you want to get rid of and one habit you want to keep for the next year?

I want to get rid of the habit of spending money on food because I can't make it to the grocery store. I'll just have to push myself to walk and cook and clean, no matter how badly I'm feeling, if I want to afford to eat in the future.

I want to keep trying to help people understand there are solutions to the existential problems plaguing us, if they want them. I want to keep reminding myself that we all die anyway. What are we living for?

@Zeraphim

Doing your own cooking is a great idea and you can cook bigger portions and freeze the rest for another time! Much cheaper and usually also healthier because you can choose what goes into your food!

To me there are many things to live for like coming here to volunteer, enjoying a good cup of coffee, watching the sun going down - too many to list them all! 😊

What's one habit you want to get rid of and one habit you want to keep for the next year?

Habit I wanna get rid of:

Stop being too nice to people who don’t deserve it from me to the point where they keep getting away with doing anything they want to me even if it’s bad.

Habit I wanna keep:

Continue being the strong, surviving, kind, authentic person I’ve always been no matter what or where.

@Tinywhisper11

You are definitively perfect as you are Tiny! 😀 There is so much to learn, and some sources of the internet can help a lot! What are topics you like most to learn about?

2 replies

@amiablePeace77 I am most interested in learning about life, like how families work, how people live and their views on things, different religions and celebrations, just everything. ❤

I want to be able to change my self destructive habits
I want to be able to keep my love of art without it turning into something that just frustrates me further.

1 reply
amiablePeace77 OP Monday

@ButtonDoll1

It's a wonderful goal to focus on changing self-destructive habits and to start accepting and loving yourself more! Art can be very helpful for this as long as we're not too judgmental about what we create but accept the "imperfection".

  • What's one habit you want to get rid of and one habit you want to keep for the next year? I want to get rid of the habit of using my phone (social media usage). The habit I want to keep for the next year is journaling.

I want to get rid of the habit of procrastination and always being on social media and not finishing what I have started.

I want to keep the habit of praying and even pray more than I do now.

@lavenderTree8679

Good goals! 👍

Social media can create addictive behaviors and put us in a mental "prison".
