A New Angel

There is no more pain, no more suffering, no more medical machines, no more doctors, no more guessing. You are now in the warm presence of happiness, the cuddle of love. You are now in the heavens looking from Gods window. All that you couldn’t do as you were here with us, now you’re doing in the fields of joy. Our tears on Earth may fill the oceans blue, but many are for the relief of what you no longer have to go through. Our sadness of loss may keep us down for moments of time; our questions of “why” as we feel you were taken from us too soon may cloud our thoughts, yet we know that you suffer no more. Your mom made a home for you and lived as you were going to be here forever. We lived, we laughed, you saw horses and beaches. You found your voice and touched so many hearts without saying a word. Your beautiful eyes looked through to everyone’s spirit. You enjoyed the little things that we all take for granted. You mended “fences” that you couldn’t comprehend, you brought together the hearts of women and men. You helped bring understanding and compassion to my life that I have never felt or knew. We will grow strong as we must live on, for our other children, for our other loved ones, for ourselves, but with the love that YOU shared with us all, we can continue in that love and press forward. I know your mom misses you. I know that your brothers and sisters miss you. I know that everyone who came in contact with you felt your emotional gifts you shared; Your home care nurses, extended family and friends. Just know in MY LIFE you have taught me many things. You were one of the STRONGEST people I know. We may have lost an Angel here on Earth, but God gained an Angel in Heaven. Look in on us from time to time. I’ll miss you…..to my beautiful stepdaughter, this is me grieving and growing. I love you.
