@M2nc4s Hi M2! Welcome to the community; we are glad to have you here with us. I'm so proud that you are reaching out to us, and I appreciate you opening up to us; that takes immense courage. I'm so glad that you got the help you needed to overcome drinking and embark on recovery. It is great that you are reaching out before things become too serious. That's awesome self awareness! How have you been coping so far?

@M2nc4s
Has anyone lately told you that, they believe in you? I do.
I believe and know you can do anything you set your mind to.
You have come very far, and the fact that you realize you are close to giving in to the pull. Shows two things:
1) your human- the want and pull will most likely always be present or for a good amount of time, but you have grown to be stronger within to fight the pull itself than to revert back. As humans, we always have a choice as to what road we take when we come to a fork in the road.
2) the universe/God (whichever your personal beliefs are) is tapping you on your shoulder and reminding you of how far you have come because have you actually really looked in the mirror and given yourself a f*** pat on the back (sorry for the language, but in this case it fits, hopefully, I won't get in trouble ). But... You've come this far.
Additionally, from the tap on the shoulder with the feeling of the pull to revert back you have hard evidence of your growth- note, this is what I personally take from your post, correct me if I'm wrong. Your response to the pull is different now, your response was a conscious thought of "do I really want to do this?" That right there is called progress because place your self in prior time, would you have thought about it? would you have just done it without thinking of the possible effects?
I don't know the answer to those questions, but you do. Possibly take some time to really look into your thoughts and emotions right now. It is possible that you might be giving strength unknowingly to thoughts and emotions that don't serve you well. I found that for me, my personal thoughts that have had for years always appear in my outside surroundings. There is a lot of ways to look into thoughts and emotions, it is all in how you want to approach it.
I believe in you, realize your growth, and keep on doing you.
