Can't study for upcoming exams.

I am having exams after 4 days and I am struggling to study for even 2 hours. I am feeling like I will fail this time.

Hello @exuberantTalker9747!  The emotions you are feeling about studying is something that is completely understandable.  Stress over school in general is an issue that many students can relate to.  What are some of the study methods that you have been using and what thoughts go through your head as you study? 🤗

Hey i had some thoughts about like everything that is going wrong in life and about the fear to fail. But thankfully meditation and taking small breaks in between helped me a lot in exams.

Hey @exuberantTalker9747! I've been where you are, I truly can't study unless I'm totally focused and actually feel like studying. And that can be especially hard while navigating anxiety and stress. In times like those, I like to find youtube videos about the topics I'm studying or use text-to-audio on my textbooks so I can listen while doing something less stressful like crocheting or painting. It somehow clears my mind while also making me feel familiar with the topics. And it's much easier to study when I have a bit more confidence that I already know this and just need to revise.

Also, sometimes we tend to end up focusing so much on the materialistic goal (i.e. getting good grades) which makes us lose sight of the true goal (i.e. learning new things and building knowledge and skills).

Yeah you are right, I think it is more important to learn and grow with knowledge. And thanks for sharing your tips, it is a very good way to study.

I usually try to sit only for study when I have exam or test. Which makes it more stressful. Also I have less time to studying during the day but I think I should manage it.

@exuberantTalker9747 Hi, I hear you. It sounds like you’re feeling really overwhelmed with your exams coming up and struggling to focus on studying. It's completely understandable to feel this way under so much pressure. Let's take a moment to break it down—maybe we can create a manageable study plan together. Sometimes starting with small, focused study sessions and taking regular breaks can make it feel less daunting. You’ve got this, and it’s okay to feel anxious. Just remember to take care of yourself during this time. Remember, you've already done your best.

Hi there @exuberantTalker9747 ! Have you tried taking breaks to keep your motivation up? I'm also a student and I find it hard to study for many hours consecutively. Try studying In 30 min intervals (or around there) and then take a 5 min break to stretch, listen to a song, and get a snack. That always helps me stay focused.

A change of scenery is always great! If you usually study at home, try going out to a library, a cafe, or the park. It does wonders having other people around you!

best of luck. You got this!!

Hey cherry, It really helps to take break in between. I did try pomodoro techniques and it helped me.

I do try to go to library sometimes but I realised that I can focus on study more when I try to study in my room.
