Tips for a study spot at home

OpenWindow March 31st, 2020

Hey there,

Another part in which I share my uni's tips with you! This one is about creating a study spot at home.

1. Create a bright space: use either natural or artificial light

2. Get comfortable: choose silence or background music, a comfortable chair and desk/surface, get some fresh oxygen (an open window?), get the temperature right, have water at hand to keep hydrated, get positive colours in you rroom such as blue that is calming, green that is happy and creative

3. Clean up after: store away your study supplies to mark the end of your day, and to start up the next way with getting your supplies read

4. Put your phone away if not needed; close all tabs that are not necessary for your current task

How did you make your study spot productive?

Putting my phone away and background music are the most two strategies that I used to use to study. I used to turned it off, no need to put it away if I know I won't tocuh it.

@Mobariz I like that those are working for you! I struggle with not checking my phone myself ahah. I got this app, Forest, and it lets you grow a tree and if you unlock your phone, you don't get to grow the tree. It helps ahha.
