...See more Hey there, Today I started this course on wellbeing, it is by Yale! It is freely accessible and all online. It teaches you all about happiness from a psychology standpoint, and lets you apply it to your own life and surroundings! It is also for non-students, but I think it is a great course for a student: http://bit.ly/yale-cursus Let me know if you're starting this journey with me!

...See more Hey there, Another part in which I share my uni's tips with you! This one is about creating a study spot at home. 1. Create a bright space: use either natural or artificial light 2. Get comfortable: choose silence or background music, a comfortable chair and desk/surface, get some fresh oxygen (an open window?), get the temperature right, have water at hand to keep hydrated, get positive colours in you rroom such as blue that is calming, green that is happy and creative 3. Clean up after: store away your study supplies to mark the end of your day, and to start up the next way with getting your supplies read 4. Put your phone away if not needed; close all tabs that are not necessary for your current task How did you make your study spot productive?
10 tips for effective studying

...See more Hey there! My university gave me a whole set of tips to help their students deal with studying at home, in a stressful environment. Many tips are generally useful, too! These tips are for your 'cognitive' health, or, how to deal with learning! Their 10 tops for effective studying are: 1. Use a day planner 2. Routine is key 3. Where do you study best? Create a spot that works! A tidy desk, a kitchen table, what works for you? 4. Eliminate task avoidance Use the '10-minute rule'. Study for at least 10 minutes, and perhaps once you're started you won't stop! Make S.M.A.R.T. goals. Use the 'Say-Do' method: tell friends or family when you are studying, and ask them to remind and support you. 5. Change your way of studying Switch between different types of learning (reading, summarising, doing exercises). 6. Lots of short break instead of one long break 7. Study together Use any video call app! Last but not least, I really enjoy using the focusbooster app, or any pomodoro app, in which you study 25 minutes, get a 5 minute break, and repreat this until you've studied 2 hours! Then you get a longer break for 30 mins. What helps you concentrate?
Group chat rules: listening guidelines: error

...See more Hey there, In the group chat rules, nr. 12, the link to 'listener guidelines' does not work. The other link in nr. 12, to The Role of Therapists, does work. I think it is useful to know what standards there are for listeners, as well as them being available for members to try and follow that standard as well. Could the link be restored, please :)? I am asking because I love the group support chats and appreciate the rules in them. All my best!

...See more Hey there! I hope you're doing well! Sometimes I stumble on a video with self-help tips and I wanted to create a thread where I can share them with you! Also, I am curious which videos really help you with a positive mindset? An example: How I tricked my brain to like doing hard things: https://youtu.be/yM0tQabjYYg I like this video, because it mentions enjoying the process, and draws on some cognitive behaviour! Let me know if there is already a thread like this- I could not find it before (only for books)! (Also please let me know if video links like this are in fact allowed!) All my best!
Looking for IBS Buddy

...See more Hey, I recently found out I might have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), which means I'm going to live on a strict diet and with lots of exercise. I'd love to get some support as I have to learn how to cook all over again, while I just learned how to be a vegetarian. If you have IBS that would be perfect, but otherwise all I ask for is your sympathy and some motivation to stay on the right track and take good care of my body!
