We all go through periods of writer's block every now and again, here are some tips that have helped me!

1. Give yourself some time away from the assignment. Taking a break can really help.

2. If you don't know where to begin, then just begin by writing anything at all, even if you know if isn't your best work, at least you will have started.

3. Make an outline of your paper structure and make sub-points that will go under each part of the paper. This will help you to organize it later.

4. Make a mind map.

Take a walk because generally writer's block means writer is lazy and not in mood to write. So, when you take a walk, it puts you in active zone and allow to generate ideas, thoughts, inspirations and energy to write.

Try it out! It works!

The best way it to keep writing, whatsoever comes in your mind. Take out the words, keep writing and writing. It helps with the block. Also read as much as you can, regarding the topic, if you're trying to write on a specific topic, it helps you with ideas and you can write better.
