Studying more Efficiently

Hello everyone, I hope everyone is safe and well. heart

Today I want to share some tips that can be used for efficient study.

yes If you have a visual memory, writing notes with tables or schemas with colours will help you remember what you study, and I think remembering makes the study efficient. If you have auditory memory, you can explain the lesson to your teddy bear, which will help you to learn and remember.

yes Study at daily bases. If you have too much work right before the exam, due to stress and time limit, there will be no efficient study.

yes Be organized when your study. Too many things on the table will create distractions.

Now I have some questions for you, and I would be so happy if you answer it. I'm wondering all of your answers.

1) What are the things that help you study efficiently?

2) How do you study? ( Writing, listening etc.)

3) Do you repeat your courses daily or weekly?

If you have anything to add or any other thing to share related with efficient study, please free to add and share.

Here's an excellent lecture on methods for efficient studying by Dr. Marty Lobdell that I happened to rediscover just yesterday. Highly recommend it to anyone having trouble concentrating or memorizing things - it's worth your time if you apply it:

@Busranurr

Thank you for the great tips Busranurr.

1) What are the things that help you study efficiently?

Removing distractions ( away from phone or web)

Getting them done in early mornings /start of the day help. There are less distarctions.

Videos or mnemonics or as u mentioned teaching it to someone or saying it aloud helps me retain better

More the senses involved ( visual, written , audio) easier it gets.

2) How do you study? ( Writing, listening etc.)

I prefer writing as I have realized it helps me remember things for longer , and u have some handy notes. *Win - Win*

3) Do you repeat your courses daily or weekly?

I struggle here. I try to do them weekly but goes much longer at times.

Things to add

1. Self notes help u the best.

2.Mnemonics and visual memory is most handy, especially if u need to retain things for longer

3.Connecting what you read with real world helps immensily , especially with theories and things that need to be byhearted.

4.Consistency and Revision are key handsdown ( I struggle with both :( )

@LiveLoveForgive I also prefer writing. In exams, colours help me remember. Like I wrote that in red colour etc. For your struggle I strongly recommend a planner. Also, thanks for your amazing extra tips. heart

1) What are the things that help you study efficiently?

I try and have someone hold me accountable! Especially with quarantine and not being able to go out to cafes to study with friends, I try and call friends online to see if they can study with me. Having someone know how much progress I'm making sorta motivates me to study more often.

2) How do you study? ( Writing, listening etc.)

It definitely depends! I usually go over notes and call a friend. I take digital notes so I'll grab my tablet and just read over them and use active recall to answer a few questions I may have written myself. For math, I definitely use practice problems to run through concepts.

3) Do you repeat your courses daily or weekly?

Yes I definitely do :) It helps retain information.

It's really hard to motivate yourself but remember elon musk, steve jobs etc. didn't become billionaires by netflix and chilling.

1) What are the things that help you study efficiently?

Some things that help me study efficiently are studying in the morning before I get distracted with anything else, writing down whatever I'm listening to so that I don't zone out, and setting off a particular amount of time to be completely focused during it.

2) How do you study? ( Writing, listening etc.)

I usually study by writing notes on whatever I'm listening to or reading.

3) Do you repeat your courses daily or weekly?

Usually I review my courses weekly until I am sure I have all the information in my head.
