September 21: Sub-community update Round 2! You're gonna love it!!
Hello Wonderful Community!
I come with awesome news!! We have the latest version of sub-communities. In this thread I will explain this update!
The goal was to add the sub-community elements to the forum pages! The first updated sub-community page can be found here!
In this update, we hope to give the leaders of the category more ability to update & edit their own sections.
Here is how it will work:
Community Guidelines - Forum Mentors will be able to edit
Commuity Resources - Forum Mentor & Support Team Leader will be able to edit
Community Leaders - Forum Mentor & Support Team Leader will be able to edit
Community About - Forum Mentors will be able to edit
Note: Forum Mentors & Support Team Leaders will ONLY be able to edit the sections they are listed as leaders in. They can use the pencil icon to open up the window & edit the text.
The goal is to make these sub-communities your own! We want you to take ownership of them & make them special for you & your topic.
Please take some time to review the update in the MOGGi/ LGTBQ forum. We know this update is not perfect yet & some of the elements are still be creating and built. Additionally, we are hoping to move some of the elements around so locations may change. But if you have and feedback or thoughts, you may leave it in this sheet!
More information to come on this update! Just wanted to show you what we have so far & get you excited! This is going to be very awesome change for our community!
@Laura Making customisation of the individual subcommunity pages possible really is a great development! :)
Two further thoughts I have had (that I will also submit via the feedback form):
1. We could add subcommunity-relevant upcoming events/discussions/support sessions to the page (for exampe upcoming LGBTQ+ support sessions in this case) if technically possible, which could make the subcommunity more informative and up-to-date. If that's technically not possible or difficult to implement, we could simply link the "LGBTQ" tagged Tockify page;
2. The current Edit Community Leaders tool allows a listener's name to be added only once, even for different roles. Right now, a listener cannot be added to the list of, for example, support session leaders and forum supporters at the same time.
Thank you for the wonderful update!
@OceanChild awesome that you are expanding!
This is awesome! !
Greeting to all! I'm a new member and I look forward in becoming a positive community member.
Best childhood memory is making huge blanket forts through the downstairs of our house with my mom and sister.
