3 Key Things!

GlenM November 18th, 2019

Please post here 3 key things you have done to help move 7 Cups forward. I will be doing this on a daily basis. Feel free to do it daily, weekly, or monthly. Right now we've got thousands of people doing a lot of work on the site, but we don't have a clear way of being able to support one another. The goal of this thread is to help all of us see all the good work that is going on. Please ask any questions or share thoughts!

Proud

1. Movement towards better mental health (more control, reaching out and feeling more positive)

2. Journaling

3. Home improvement projects (feelings of completion, satisfaction, purpose and giving me movement/physical).

@GlenM I have been able to receive positive feedback about being an active listener, I have been able to improve and work on being an effective listener through the trainings, and have been able to refer members to additional resources offered by 7 cups of Tea.

@GlenM my three things for today:

1) I bought some new materials to do craft projects so I could practice making time for myself and some self care.

2) I participated in chat requests and helped some people move forward with their difficulties.

3) I spent some time working on my training and certification.

I'm both a memeber and a listener. I have shared my appreciation to those who have listened. I think it's important. As a listener you sometimes wonder what happened after the chat, if you did the right thing, asked the right questions and if they got any relief in their chat. That's why I feel it is important to share.

As important as it to tell listeners you appreciate their effort it is important to report when something is not right. When a listener is not doing what they are supposed to and has promised to do in the listeners oath.

Most proud I am of the fact that I know I made a difference in someones life. A memeber reached out and asked for help and has now told his/her parents about it and is feeling so much better. I'm proud of the member for being so brave and proud of myself for being able to inspire and encourage to open up.

1. I managed to encourage my long term listener to sign up to become a discussion leader.

2. I got out of bed before lunchtime (which makes a change on the weekends now I have no volunteering at my gymnastics club.)

3. I ate a bacon sarnie for brunch.
