Feature Update: Quote reply in chats
All, this is an update we're really excited about. In 1-1 chats and group chats, you can now do a quote reply! This is where you can select a specific message to reply to, and then your reply includes a short visual of the message you replied to. Thats probably not the simplest description... so instead, I encourage you to try it out for yourself.
This update is only on the website for now, but we will be bringing it to the mobile app soon.
Using quote reply makes it easier for supportive conversations to flow - as all participants can better understand when a message is referring or replying to something or someone specific. Its a feature widely used on many messaging platforms.
To give it a try, click the backwards arrow underneath a message.
We hope you find this a helpful update.

Thank you Jon 👏

The new feature was working for me for the past week, but starting today I've noticed that I'm no longer able to send messages while quote-reply is active.
1) Pressing Enter inserts a new line in my typed response (as if I had done Shift+Enter) instead of sending the message.
2) Clicking the blue "send" button to the right of the message input box creates a black border/outline around the send button instead of sending the message.
I'm using the desktop version of 7 Cups in Firefox 120.
@QuietMagic Same problem here.
@Jon7Cups
the new thing lets me type messages but not letting me send them
All - apologies about the bug over the weekend. This should be fixed now!
@Jon7Cups
No problem, and thank you! Confirmed that it's working again.
@Jon7Cups I love this new feature. I wish we had it sooner, but I am glad we have it now.
