how long have you been self harm free? (possible trigger warning: SH)

I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.

It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be

you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.

and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.

I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.

if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.

Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?

@BrightSummer889, I know it's hard and you are battling with it constantly, but it isn't going to be easy, it isn't and I love how hard you're trying. You can do this, I believe in you. Really.

It's been two years now and it's hard sometimes. I feel weird when I think that I've done these things to myself but I'm glad I've been able to stop for this long :)

@verdantautomaton, 2 years is a very long time and hey, I know looking back can be weird but I'm so glad that you're past that stage in your life and have been able to stop as well.

Keep it up, don't give up!

A year. My record is 20 months. This thing has been in my life for almost 20 years now. I don't have any problem with it at the moment. I also feel strange thinking that I've done these things to myself. Sometimes I look at the scars and feel sad and ugly. But you guys free for hours or minutes, remember that years SIB free starts with those hours and minutes. It is possible to be free.

@Chiaroscuro1, well said, being self harm free does start with a single day, and every day free from it, every hour, counts.

I'm so proud of you and I want you to know that the scars do not make you ugly, they are a reminder of how you've overcome so much, how you're amazing and how you can go through anything and come out stronger on the other side because being self harm free for an year is no joke.

I hope one day those scars remind you of the good, rather than the bad.

It is wise for us to not keep things around we can harm ourselves with.

Almost two years but I've had a few relapses kind of recently so I don't know if that means I've only been sh free for a few months or if I can just class them as relapses and still be 2 years free? What do you guys think? 😕

I think we should focus on and be grateful for every day, every moment, that we are sh free. Let us be present and appreciative. That way, if we do slide, we can get back up and stand in the next moment sh free. Let us then add those moments together and build a life more and more free from sh without thinking we have to start from scratch.

Hi guys. I just want to make sure you saw the new thread about sh and first aid. I think it is important that we take care of ourselves physically, practically after sh. Please check it out.
