how long have you been self harm free? (possible trigger warning: SH)

I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.

It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be

you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.

and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.

I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.

if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.

Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?

24 hrs is where everyone started. And you can make it to all these yr accomplishments too. The internet has lots of alternatives. And you can find one that works for you.

i tried the rubber band method and it backfired. bad. the other alternatives i have found are impossible for me to attempt or i know they wouldnt work for me.

Trying them all is good till you find one. You can be surprised with which actually work and whether it be something simple like thinking of a friend's.

im trying. but its so hard because now that people know i self harm(on here) its like i have to try and prove to everyone i can do it and if i relapse i let everyone down.

You can! You will! You're not stupid, don't feel that way. Remember, tattoos don't count 😉. Instead of thinking about cutting think about a tattoo design where every day you go cut free you earn a line or dot to complete a whole picture and once you've made it a week/month/year get your socially acceptable pain you earned.

thats an awesome example. ive been thinking that when i am finally clean i will get a tattoo where i self harm. maybe while im trying to stop i can think up the design one day/line at a time

First of all I would like to say congratulations to everyone who has posted here! You are all so strong and I'm so proud of all that you have accomplished. Whether it be a day or 5 years, you're amazing! Release yourself from the evil that is self-harm for GOOD! I understand where you've all been, I use to self harm almost every day for 6 years. But today, I am 1 year clean. I never ever thought that this day would come, and certainly one year ago today when I cut myself for the last time and I finally said to myself "this has to be the last time...this has to be ENOUGH" I didn't think that it would actually happen. But here I am, one year later. I certainly have the scars to remind me of it, but I'm thankful of them in a way because I have proof that I am a SURVIVOR. I know that you can all be too. I have faith in every single one of you, and I love you all, even though I don't know you. We're all connected through this wicked evil that has entrapped us at one point or another, but we can use that to help one another. If you ever need to talk please feel free to message me. You're all beautiful in your own skin, and you can all do it! You can make it another day! [My flesh and my heart may fail, but GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26]
