I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.

It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be

you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.

and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.

I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.

if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.

Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?

Hey guys, you are all doing great!

Whether you have been trying to stop for 1 year or 1 day, you have all made the initial attempt to stom self harming. Thats what matters... the trying part of it. makes you strong.

@anxiousbailey

That first week is the hardest and you've managed to get through those really strong urges for the first week. That is really great and shows that you've got great strength hidden inside. Keep it going, @anxiousbailey.. you're doing great

I am clean for almost a year now, but on my bad days I often think about doing it again. I have it under control though and every time I get the urge, I manage to distract myself until the thought is gone again.

Not the best way to cope with it, but still, it is a way.

Hey @PaganWarrior.. you say it's not the best way of managing through the urges but it's working for you. That's all that matters.

You've done incredibly well for this last year. That's pretty awesome if I'm honest with you. Keep it going :)

As of right now I'm 3 days clean. It's hard to keep it that way though. I've been having really strong urges to cut but:

1. I'm trying to recover

2. my parents would end up finding out somehow

so yeah that's all

it seems i'm actually a month free, to the day. i've had a lot of urges throughout this month and it's been really hard, but at least, i haven't hurt myself since december 6th.

i've had times where i've gotten really close to starting to scratch and/or hurt myself, but i had one of my best friends tell me "hey no, talk to me. let's talk about something and do this instead.", which was really, really helpful.

i hope things keep getting better, so i can actually get better enough to not even have urges anymore.

5 years and 11 months.

There are days it's still a battle, but it does get easier to fight the urges. Even if it's only five minutes at a time.

Sadly, just four days or so now. I couldn't resist and was desperate, but before it was about two months or something, which was really cool. Since I feel better now I think I'll be free for some time of it now :)

It has been 14 years. I stopped after I got an infection from my cutting and a friend saw me bandaging it up. I explained what had happened and was told that, if I did it again, that friend would do it too. This changed everything. To be honest, even over a decade later, the thought of doing it never goes away; just the way of handling it changes. There is no cure. There are, however, people that care - yes, even strangers! - who feel your pain and beg you to stop. When you harm yourself, remember that you are also harming those that love you. You are strong and you can overcome this. Sincerely, someone who was once you. <3

Just over 2 week now. I still have very strong feelings about punishing myself, but have resisted so far.
