If anyone wants to share some healthy coping strategies that do not involve self-harm drop them down ! Mine is the ice on wrist strategy

@Lovelyperson1 There's the butterfly method. Everytime you might think about harming you draw a butterfly on yourself. You can even give them names of anyone that might be special. If you harm the butterfly d*es. So the object is to keep them alive :)

Hello! I nibble on my fingers or press my nails into my palms/arms. Oftentimes when I feel the urge to harm myself, I just need some kind of physical stimulation and this helps me. I would advise not biting/pressing too hard though because that defeats the purpose.

Ok, mine sounds a bit strange, but the gist of it is. I lay on my back, try to focus on my breathing, and close my eyes and pretend/try to convince myself that I'm holding ice cubes. Personally it helps get my mind off of the urge to self-harm, offers a nice distraction for me. I hope your having a lovely day/night!
