Hey everyone, happy Sunday and I hope you all are having a great weekend!

Today, let's talk about virtual self-care especially now that our options for using self-care techniques outside are limited because of the quarantine!

The reason I want to discuss this is because I feel that a lot of our traditional methods of caring for ourselves have been restricted because of the way the quarantine has affected our lives. However, it doesn't stop the necessity of us finding creative and newer ways to take care of ourselves. Having said that, these are today's daily questions.

1) How are you doing this weekend? Have you been able to get your regular self-care routine in?
2) Has your ability to do your regular self-care routine been hurt because of the quarantine? If so, how?

3) How do you think you can creatively approach the situation and find newer ways to self-care and love yourself?

1) How are you doing this weekend? Have you been able to get your regular self-care routine in?
Life is strange, but I have for the second time in two days, so I am really proud. I'm back in my workout routine - almost, I miss my daily walks, but I will get there - and that makes me happy. I'm glad that I can at least do "something", when we are on lockdown and all that. I am doing better for each day I get out of the house, and that makes me happy. I kinda miss the bathtub at my parents' place, but I have moved now, and I have to be happy with my shower laugh

2) Has your ability to do your regular self-care routine been hurt because of the quarantine? If so, how?
Mostly it has been hurt by the gyms closing. To feel good about myself, I go to the gym, and when I can't I feel like shit. Also me moving into my own apartment broke my other habits like bidaily bikerides and my walk. But I had to figure out the area here first, before I could actually go out.

3) How do you think you can creatively approach the situation and find newer ways to self-care and love yourself?
I don't really love myself, but I have come to at least like myself a little, when I work out, so that's good right?

I am glad to hear from you. I am really proud of the fact that you've been able to get that workout in 2 days in a row. It must not be easy with the gyms closed and everything and as someone who also recently started working out but then had the gyms close, I know how demotivating it can be! On the last note, yes liking yourself a little is definitely a good positive start and I hope that the next week goes well for you <3

1) How are you doing this weekend? Have you been able to get your regular self-care routine in?
Im all right so far. I guess somewhat. I normally do more of a maintenance scheduled. Eat, hygiene, stretches, and exercises for my back. The self care implies I care for myself. But I'm working on that.
2) Has your ability to do your regular self-care routine been hurt because of the quarantine? If so, how?
No. I guess fun stuff and hobbies count as self care. I recently moved. I don't know where I can go on hikes, motorcycle rides, fishing, or anything really. Plus I don't have much of my stuff yet anyway.

3) How do you think you can creatively approach the situation and find newer ways to self-care and love yourself?
I have done some very poor scribbles and doodling, And sense I hate money and don't want to see myself succeed I recently got a gaming console. I'm nothing like I was years ago. I used to be decent but it in some ways is another reminder that I'm getting old. As if my body's aches, pains and overall ageing I guess isn't enough of a ever present reminder.

I am glad to hear of your maintenance schedule. That sounds nice. I am also glad to hear that your ability to self-care hasn't been paritcularly interrupted. The gaming console definitely sounds like a great idea. It sucks that the overall ageing is causing you certain aches but I hope that they get better and you feel better soon <3

@blissheart00 It's a nice idea but that's not really how stuff works. At least the way I see it. If we look at the world or the universe it's continuously getting destroyed and braking down. People are no different. Safety, beauty, and things working in general are the anomaly. It is inevitable. The most anybody can do is come up with a faux reason or purpose as we wait and watch it happen.

Hey Blissheart, thank you for posting today and I loved what you said! You're right that a lot of the stuff that we usually have to use for self-care during non-quarantine times are gone and it's really difficult. :( Hope you're doing well. <3

1) How are you doing this weekend? Have you been able to get your regular self-care routine in?
This weekend has been hard :/ I've had a lot of family stuff going on at home and it's been stressful to deal with. I've been practicing self-care through a lot of meditation, journaling, working out, and trying to get more sleep in. <3
2) Has your ability to do your regular self-care routine been hurt because of the quarantine? If so, how?
Yes. So I usually practice self-care by treating myself to coffee ot nice "materials" you could say. And I would sort of plan out mini adventures with my friends or mom to malls or beaches and such. It's been hard to not have that anymore and I miss it a lot.

3) How do you think you can creatively approach the situation and find newer ways to self-care and love yourself?
I definitely have started becoming much more creative with self-care and taking a lot of the more "basic" ways of self-care that I can practice at home like meditation, journaling, and very stationary things.

I am doing well, thank you for asking. I'm sorry to hear about the family stuff, that's never easy for anyone and I'm sorry you in particular have to deal with that. I am also sad to hear that your adventures are being interrupted and I hope they can get back to where they were soon. Overall, I am still happy that you are still doing your best to make the most of the situation and still trying to find those creative solutions. I hope they work out for you!
