How to report an abusive/troll member?

lonelydeviantsoul July 22nd, 2015

I'm usually pretty good at navigating sites. I've spent the last 30 minutes looking for an abuse button or how to report someone trolling. I think if someone is going from forum to forum posting profound photos, there should be an easy way to report or completely block that user. Can someone show me an easy way to report a troll? Please?

Thank you for reading.

I was doing the same thing and, from what I read, others too. The closest thing I could find was a 'report' firm in the group chats' rules link. I submitted one but it sounded like it was more for group chat issues with a moderator or listener. Either way, I'm sure it'll get routed correctly - it just may not be immediate.

That's what I found as well. I felt it would take forever. I like 7 cups so far. It's helped me already. But I am hoping there becomes a simple way to block users or something.

@lonelydeviantsoul @MsJamison

If someone is trolling the forums, your best bet to get the content taken down immediately is to tag in or PM a forum mentor (a listener with the power to remove and edit dangerous content). There is talk of introducing a reporting feature, with any luck that will be implemented sometime soon.

You can find a complete list of forum mentors here.

On a side note, there's a great forum FAQ here.

The email address community@7cups.com is the best way to get the user banned, although it can't be guaranteed that your email will be seen at the time it's sent, so forum mentors remain the quickest way to keep the forums safe.

So good to know. Since you answered my other question as well, you know that I was struggling to find things on the app. This is really helpful. Thank you!

There's plenty of them on this site, just hit the report button which is next to the refer button in the group chats and you can report them further from there.

Excellent point, @Pandas4ever, you are very correct :) Unfortunately, that feature doesn't yet exist in the forums, only in the chatrooms.

Thanks Panda,

As the it were in this case, and Lyra mentioned, this was not in a chat rather a forum.
