Listeners' Time Response
I don't mean to sound selfish or needy, but I think that Listeners should work on how much time they take to respond. The reason I feel this is an issue is because if you leave someone alone for too long, especially someone who's not in the right headspace, they might start to panick. Get anxious. I'm not sure how this can be fixed. Maybe a test with bots in distress? I hope this will make a difference. As a 'part-time' listener I follow these rules in order to do my best with whoever I'm talking to.
1. Don't try helping a member if you've got other things going on (homework, chores, interacting with someone). It's best to give them your full attention.
2. If your internet is lagging, clarify that at the beginning so you don't leave anybody hanging.
3. If helping more than one person hinders your response time, don't do what you can't handle.
@Ember2002 I agree with you. Response time is very important, but no one is sure how the problem can be fixed.
The chat system could monitor response times and immediately suspend any listener who leaves someone alone for too long during a live chat. But there isn't any way for us in the community to get the chat system fixed so it does that.
The system we have at present (as far as I know) is that there are random spot checks on listeners. No one seems to know how well this is working to improve response times, though.
@EvelyneRose is in charge of this scheme and might know more. I think @LuLuRings is working on ways to make the scheme more transparent, so we can all know whether it is leading to real improvements. More information can be found in Evelyne's Quality Gazebo.

I think even just reminding listeners of these important points from time to time would be benefical.
