I'm eighteen and haven't died yet. I'm a little excited about life at the moment, but am easily put down. It's hard for me to climb my way back up when I'm in my negative spiral. I'm currently focused on college, self-improvement, and making myself happy.

...See more I don't mean to sound selfish or needy, but I think that Listeners should work on how much time they take to respond. The reason I feel this is an issue is because if you leave someone alone for too long, especially someone who's not in the right headspace, they might start to panick. Get anxious. I'm not sure how this can be fixed. Maybe a test with bots in distress? I hope this will make a difference. As a 'part-time' listener I follow these rules in order to do my best with whoever I'm talking to. 1. Don't try helping a member if you've got other things going on (homework, chores, interacting with someone). It's best to give them your full attention. 2. If your internet is lagging, clarify that at the beginning so you don't leave anybody hanging. 3. If helping more than one person hinders your response time, don't do what you can't handle.
