This week’s discussion is about one of the things which is often used to share favorite songs, inspirational and kind quotes, and informative and educational videos on 7 Cups.

Yes, I’m talking about YouTube 😀

Now you might be wondering if YouTube links are allowed on 7 Cups? The answer is, yes, certain types of YouTube links are perfectly okay to share in 7 Cups

We can share YouTube videos and shorts in 1-1 chats, group chats and forums, along with its title and/or channel name, because some people might be wary of clicking on links. By knowing the title and the channel of the YouTube link, they can easily search up the video to watch it for themselves.

Let’s see what types of YT (YouTube) links are okay to share on 7 Cups?

Type of YouTube links allowed

  • Songs of artists (do share the song title too)
    Note about sharing songs in rooms: it’s okay to share songs in rooms, as long as there is no active session/discussion/sharing circle going on, and without spamming
  • Informative/educational videos about mental health
    Make sure to include trigger warning or content advisory
  • Any video or short, as long as it is not from your channel, and is appropriate and abide by site guidelines

Type of YouTube links not allowed

  • Videos for promoting your channel
  • Videos from your channel, especially when your channel has offsite social media links
  • Inappropriate videos or shorts
  • Videos/shorts that are triggering or uncomfortable
