@MeaningfulSilence reflecting on this year. Well it's had its ups and downs. EarlierĀ this year, we had some terrifying news about two other slaves that were rescued with me.š„ for me very scared, sad, wanting to give up. But with extra security put in place. And a little faith I got through it ā¤ my health is a constant battle too.
however I'm grateful I got clothes to wear, a bed to sleep on, my baby bunny(gizmo) my 7 cups friends. I'm thankful to my carer s, and this great carehome where I live. I'm thankful that I can still move and do things I enjoy (half paralysed)
thank you God for life ā¤ā¤ next year I want to try help as many people as I can
merry Christmas everyone ā¤ā¤
I think the best part was probably from October to early November when I really loved my dailys and what I had to do every day. Iāve had several lows and several parts that were āgoodā but they definitely werenāt separated. The light comes with the dark and you have to remember to keep your head level with the light. Sometimes you have to lose track of one or more things to regain other things and thatās okay. ( Skipping 5 ) New days and everyday chances, everything around us that can make us smile. ( Skipping 7 since trying to stay slow )
Happy Holidays!! ā¤ļøš§”ššššš©·

When was the best part of the year and why?
Visiting family because I love them!
-
List your highs and lows.
-
-
Write down the motivations you had to keep working on something that is good for you.
I had a motivation to be a great role model!
-
Think about what did and didn't work in your life and say what you learned from it.
What didn't work? Trying to reason with someone that has ill intentions for me.
What did work? Standing up for myself and enforcing boundaries. -
Reflect on what stresses you out and how you think itās good to cope with it.
Something that stresses me out is someone trying to argue with me. I cope with it now by enforcing boundaries, leaning on my support systems, and taking legal action if necessary.
-
Write down what youāre grateful for
I am grateful for my faith, family, and friends. I am also grateful for 7Cups!
-
What are your plans and/or wishes for the new year?
My wishes for the new year are to drive into my passions, spend more time with loved ones, and read more books!
-
Write down the motivations you hadĀ to keep working on something that is good for you.
My biggest motivation is to think of more than my own self to include greater groups of people. I do this because I care about giving back for all the bleassings I have received and also for the plain fact that I feel better when I do not dwell on my own life.
@MeaningfulSilence
I'd like to use more of 7cups resources so jumping in here ^_^
The best part of the year was probably being able to get a decent paying summer job, as well as meeting some very lovely and fun people from around the world. It was really neat to hear about different mindsets and cultures, as well as make new friends. Some lows was that I had some pretty bad mental health crises but some highs was that I got closer with some friends at school, as well as build up a study group with some of my classmates.
Some good motivations for sticking with school is being future focused and reminding myself that I essentially have a lot of life ahead of me. Right now, life is changing a lot and that can be rather stressful, but it helps to remember that just because it's stressful now doesn't mean it'll stay stressful. Or at least, these experiences now will teach me how to better handle them in the future. It also encourages me to do better, like I'm challenging myself to see how far I'll go.
School is certainly a big stressor, as well as simply planning for the future. Also money can be a stressor as well, though I try not to worry about every single thing if I can help it. It can just feel very overwhelming because my future is up to me, so I have to go out and ask people things and get opportunities for myself. Though I try to remind myself to be grateful for making it this far and even having school as a stressor lol. It helps to remind myself to take it one step at a time and focus on the near future and on the things I can actually control/influence.
I'm very grateful for my friends and my family. Sometimes when I'm really going through it, I forget I can rely on those around me. It's such a blessing that I have such lovely people in my life and I'd like to do my best with showing them my appreciation. I'd to try and handle my life stressors without having so many (or so bad) mental crises. Mainly, I'd like to learn how to manage my schoolwork better. I made some good progress this semester but I know I can do better and I'd like to set a good challenge for myself.
Thanks for providing the questions! This gave me some good things to think about and reminded me of what I have to be grateful for
@celerystickerĀ
Hi celerysticker!Ā
I'm glad to read that you've understood the intention I had by asking those questions and that they served their purpose š šššĀ
It seems that you are planning your future carefully, with clear ideas. There's a lot you can achieve and having goals feels like having and reinforcing a positive view onĀ the future. It also sounds wise to take things in steps the way you are doing, I understand it can feel overwhelming at a time, but your intuitions and reflections on your difficulties/bad moments, seems to be a "guarantee for a good outcome". I want to think positive about your crisis.... you are aware of them and you are able to restart when they block you... what better attitude than this? You can be proud of yourself celerysticker, your strength will surely keep on helping you in the future šĀ Ā
Wishing you a wonderful New Year and a good semester at school!Ā Ā
Take good care of yourself.
