ya we think so too seem music a big part of our life now for a time we was not allowed to play music. but now we listen to worship music it helps a lot when feeling down and other times too
@stormieandpaws sounds like you didn't have a very nice upbringing either🙁 sorry sweetie. But music is a big part of my life now too, I listen to gospel music sometimes🙂 and I love country music, but right now xmas music😁😁😁 ❤ gives you a giant tiny hug ❤

thank you we listen to mostly worship music and at times other music too. but mostly christian music as it what helps me when we be down a lot too. like the old country music but not the new stuff as much. we do like some Christmas music too. my childhood was very bad so was a lot of my adult life with being abused but may 2017 at age of 47yr we moved and now life abuse free we are 54yr now. but we very blessed to be free of all that. due to we moved away from family and city we growup in. so now very blessed even with dealing with lots of health issues. hope you doing well.
@stormieandpaws I'm glad you got out of that situation ❤❤ I was lucky enough to be rescued at 18yrs old, I'm 24 now🙂 and also in a safe place ❤ also suffering with disabilities cause of what happened. Now I find peace in God, and happiness in the little things 🙂 ❤ I wish you were rescued much earlier on in life, bless you. But we are here now🙂 so let's celebrate every second of everyday as much as possible ❤❤ hugs you tightly ❤

this may sound odd but in away we was saved but not in the normal way. we was saved and well God always took care of us even in the abuse. people say we was joyful happy child. but they only saw the outside the smile that was hiding the secrets. but we feel we was never alone if that make since. from the near death at around 16 months and other ones we had. we always felt a peace within. most not believe us but it was within the storm ( the abuse) we found shelter and safety within our faith. id that even makes since. but we glad someone saw you and got you away from the ones that was hurting you.

But God has a greater purpose for us, we survived for a reason ❤our purpose might not be clear to us yet, but we will know when we meet the big guy in the sky ❤❤ I'm here if you need to talk about anything ❤

thank you we came to see stuffing God allows in our life is for His glory and our good. it within the suffering that one can allow it to make one bitter or can allow it to make one better. spiritually we grow more in the hard times then the good times too. so we came to see even suffering as a blessing. as God always in control nothing can happen without Him allowing it to happen. so for us we came to a peace even about our suffering. some say that odd but we know were we going when we pass from this world. they can hurt us even kill us but we still be alive in spirit and we know who always with us. yes suffering not fun and well hurts a lot but there something that God working on in us and that why He allows it.
also we been abuse to help others who also have suffered in same type of way we did. but each one suffering is one of a kind too. so not to compare the suffering or pain as that would not be compassionate at all. sadly many do that and hurt others by doing that too. this hard time of year for us but we trying to change how we look at the holiday season. doing things we want to do and different then we ever did.

not sure as we thought was had integrated but then months later. more alters started talking to us. when we asked them they said they was hiding. the counselor we see said that this could be due to us not being fully out of the abuse until may 17 2017. she also told us this not uncommon with long term abuse by many abusers so we really not know but before we had over 200 we know of now others coming forward so unsure to tell truth. but we was in abuse for 47yr even with starting the healing work in 2002 we was still in abuse but mostly mental verbal and emotional abuse. before was other types of abuse the most abuse was done from around 2yr to around 12yr. then from around 22yr to 35yr that was abuse within our marriage.
we came a long way in healing but still have a long ways to go we feel. so to us healing a journey.
@stormieandpaws 🙁 I'm sorry you went through all you did😥 over 200 wow! I have a few friends here at cups who suffer from DID too. It can't be an easy thing for you🙁
I never had toys growing up, I never knew toys exsisted. Same for xmas, birthdays or any celebrations, I didnt know they exsisted. Now for xmas I decorate up as nice as I can, do lots of fun xmas art and crafts, and I buy myself toys😁 then xmas day I get to enjoy the things I should have growing up😁😁 do you buy yourself presents??

so sorry you did not get gifts as a child, but glad you buy them now
this may sound odd but we buy the inside kids a few toys just small ones. we do a lot of crafts. some of us paint and some write poems too. but we also most years buy a cake for our birthday. all through the year we buy small things for each other. plus in our inside world there stores and other types of buildings in the town within. we also have gardens and unicorns the inside kids can ride. as we found that having a inside world is very helpful. the ones that still hiding live in the caves. but ones who have came up live in houses and other buildings. we use to think everyone with DID had a inside world. but have found out many do not. so yes we give each other gifts.
also seeing we did not get candy and pop much as a child. within inside world the kids get candy and pop. we limited that in outside world due to we have diabetic so not to have much of that stuff.
we did get gifts at Christmas and birthday one gift. at Christmas was maybe 2 or 3 toys then cloths and then tools. was my grandparents' had farm next door to our home. we helped on farm but loved it. but at 10yr grandpa died and uncle sold livestock.
@stormieandpaws oh that's sad about the farm🙁 I'm glad you nurture your system, all the ones still in caves need to feel special with gifts and treats, hopefully then they'll come out 🙂 ❤ as soon as I get home (I've been stuck in hospital for 3 weeks now🙁) I'm gonna decorate for Xmas 😁 and look for some more presents to buy😁 I bought my son a remote control car, but it looked so much fun I bought one for me to😂😂

hope you get out of hospital soon. we found it the little things that matter the most when it come to the insiders. small toys and treats mean a lot to them even small notes saying how special each of them be and how blessed i was to have them help me. even the ones in the caves get treats and small gifts one of the ones who use to live in the caves. take small toys to them and a lot of the time food even candy. she hoping to get them to trust her and to come out of hiding. this has worked some and few more have come out but not really made connected with rest of us. they move around like shadows. but in time as they see we safe we hope they will trust us. so we can help them heal and other things.
one of the young boys in my system got a remote controlled car last year he loves it a lot. few of the girls inside into the troll dolls. but most like to color and do crafts so we making a Christmas wreath we made a fall one but that one will come down soon. so today we put together a kit that like foam Christmas things. we also paint some ornaments for the wreath too. so they enjoying making the things to go on the wreath right now.
we believe in trying to enjoy the holidays even with the bad memories. as we making new memories now.

yes it does and we enjoy letting others see our art both online and offline. the fall wreath we made the ladies loved at the helping hands group. many things we made others love a lot. we not draw much as hands shake some. but we do paint as we have paint bushes that have like things you place fingers on they help. lol we even use the kids paint brushes. not sure we can post art here on 7 cup. as we have new ones we not posted anywhere at all online. art helps to relax us some. we never fully relaxed as the art helps us a lot.
