Should I move in with my boyfriend?
Hello! I need some advice on my futur living situation. Id be really grateful if you gave me your opinion.
so Ive been with my boyfriend for 10 months, but it feels like more because we were really good friends before and have shared a house with other people for 2 years.
We spend a lot of time together, more than the average couple I think. The only downfall to our relationship is that when we fight, we fight quite aggressively. We shout and say mean stuff and it often gets out of hand. We always apologise the next day and make up. We have both had quite a hard year friendship wise and have overly relied on each other.
Next year we are both moving to London. We had originally planned to live together but now Im having a bit of doubts.
The doubts started when we argued and he said he ddnt want to live with me anymore. He has since assured me that he really does want to live with me and that he thinks Im the only one who is hesitating bc he truly wants to live with me.
Another factor Id like you to consider is that I will be starting my Masters year. Meanwhile he will be starting his undergraduate bachelors (he repeated). Im scared hell struggle to find friends if he does not live in halls. But then Im also scared well break up if we dont live together bc well be so busy with our respective lives. I also love spending my time with him, cooking, falling asleeping, waking up and cant imagine not living together.
Thank you for any advice you may hav
@Heretohelp5618, you seem to have a pretty good relationship. I really understand about the fighting, but it doesn't sound like you have any serious problems with each other. I think you should live together. Maybe you can even get past the fightting.
My girlfriend and I have talked about moving in together. We have not lived together at any point, and we have had a really hard time arguing this year, although I think we have resolved the problems. I wish you the best in London, I have never been to any part of Europe.
@Offmytrack thank you for your insight. It feels good to be told that you think its a good idea. Most of my friends have advised me to not live together but I dont think they understand how much we fit together.
Which way are you leaning towards with your girlfriend? Im glad to hear that youve resolved your problems. I always think that in a relationship you have to be willing to put in the work for it to work :)
@Heretohelp5618, I am always glad to be of some help. I want to move in with my girlfriend, in hopes that she will want to marry me.
@Offmytrack that
@Heretohelp5618 - I am moving in with her next weekend.
