For no reason he broke up with me

Youkwin April 10th, 2021

I have been dating this guy for 6 years now long distance, since December last year we were making plans on meeting in March this year to talk about our wedding plans for later this year. For no reason he just broke up with me. He came to the country now but says he doesn't want to see me cause he "doesn't want to re in kindle what he can't control " I don't even know what that means... I've been extremely depressed

@Youkwin yeah long distance doesn't work and you didn't even know the guy that's kinda dangerous he can be anyone I mean, yeah 6 years is a long time but still i think its best to find some one in the same location.

@Youkwin "What he can't control"? Does that mean that he doesn't want to re-kindle something because he wants to control you or a situation? It seems like a massive red flag and it's possible you've dodged a real bullet. Then again, I am not you and don't know your partner.

Because of the shock of what happened, take a month or two of no contact with him to heal and then re-visit the relationship and reach out, if you want. This isn't for him, this is for YOU and your emotional health before you make any decisions. Right now, someone who blindsides you like that hurt you and you need to focus on yourself first. If it's meant to be and you love each other, 30-60 days is enough time for you both to cool down and not act out of emotion, but rather with a more objective lens.
