Random Thread
Hello there.
What is this? Just like the title indicates: it's a random thread.
Well, I might use this to post some writings of mine... or my random gibberish. Guess it will be more fitting to add this to the Journal / Diary forum, or maybe not. I do journal(?) already, just not publicly, not entirely at least, of-course-
Anyway, any of you cybernetic passers-bys are welcome to read or/and share your thoughts. Not like I can prevent you anyway, this is accessible to the public. Haha.
But yes, if you're looking for some space to share some things and you don't have a thread or don't want to create one of your own for any reason, you can post here.
☆Enjoy the incoming stochastic chaos of textual expression.(:
A Week of a(n) (almost) No-Carb Morning:
There's this kind of diet I've been testing for some time now. So, it is breakfast/morning meal based, and it has two main conditions:
1-No refined carbohydrates, or a high complex-carb based meal in the beginning of the day.
2-Protein-rich breakfast.
While carbohydrates is an important micronutrient, of course, the goal is to not to exclude carbohydrates all-together, but to use less energy for digestion and not have sugar spikes afterwards.
Personal Results(After a week):
There has been less brain fog and more energy that helped to work or/and study earlier in the day. Since I have my lectures and my work scheduled during the daytime, this has been an aid to be more focused and work more efficiently.
This actually might be used for people who are sensitive to carbs.* But since this can be different from one person to another, you may test this out yourself for a few days. You can also have a few other days where you'd have carbohydrate-rich(Mainly refined or complex) meals like pancakes and oat-porridge, and note down the result after the morning. Then compare the results of both of these sets of mornings.
What I include for breakfast(+Morning snack can be added):
1-Eggs.
2-Tuna and sardines.
3-Dairy: milk, cheese, yoghurt, custard..
4-Legumes: fava beans, chickpeas..
5-Vegetables: tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, onions, garlic, potatoes, olives..
6-Fruit: apples, bananas, figs, dates, raisins..
7-Nuts, their butter, and tahini.
-I hope this helps.

To all American citizens...
As the month of October is coming to the end, a rather 'promising' (or rather, dreadful for some) event is going to take place next month. That may determine the future of how the country will function afterwards, and perhaps, there'll be hopes for solutions that will solve actual problems of the public..
So, like in many countries, there are candidates of a few political parties; the Democrat, the Republican, the Green Party, and Libertarian. The first two are the most notable. The Democrat is considered to be liberal and agrees with individual choice. The Republican is conservative and agrees with collectivism. Without getting to anymore details about them, which you / an American reader likely know more about than I do as an outsider, these parties are reputed to be the representatives of you that you can choose from / the country's people. In the end, the majority of the people are the ones who'll win.
Or, that's just what everyone got their eyes on.
Let's temporarily be 'No Party' here and try to look at the bigger picture. And I'll try to leave all my biases aside and focus solely on the reality of the case at hand, impartially.
From this perspective, you see there are divisions within this society. Divisions aren't inherently bad, they exist in every society. The issue is when divisiveness keeps growing more amongst the population. Afterall, if there's some divisions amongst that population, you can offer a common ground between them all that keeps them unified, like a common cause for the whole country. But in this case, there's so much divisive politics and misinformation around that it makes it difficult to address actual problems, let alone reach solutions that will benefit the entire country.
This isn't only a matter of politics, this is more like a big game to keep people divided while achieving the plans of the elite-class within the country, or in other countries behind-the-scenes. Because, if you were to keep the public busy with what that party, or that other group did, who'll ever really bother to notice what is really happening in the inside?
This was relatively short, but I think that's just enough for a hint for some individuals to think about and research more. Well, what can be done? I think it is kind-of too late for that. Add to that a large number of people seem to willingly want to remain unaware. But just, generally, don't let yourself fall into lies and misinformation. The media does a great job at that, so don't spread some news (that are likely not verified) even more just because you personally despise that one group or another.
And keep yourself (and your family/community) safe. I am aware it can get crazy in where you live / in where an American lives during those times of the elections. Well, the time is nearly up, and there might be a few 'trump' cards left up for the representatives of those parties.
Stay safe out there.
Random Word of the Day:
Defenestration: the act of throwing someone or something out of a window.
..."Why does that word even exist?" You may ask?
It is a term that was introduced after an incident in 1618, where there were Protestant that threw Catholics out of a window. It is known as the "Defenestrations of Prague".
And that was not the end of it. For then, there was the Thirty Years' War between these two Christian denominations in Europe afterwards.
So.. let's not yeet(throw) people out of windows.(: And if that happens, you may use the verb "Defenestrate" to sound fancy.
Well, autumn is really starting to show its effects in the region I am in. Which reminds of, I've chosen a poem that describes the season's main theme that is often associated with it.
___________
Last Week in October by Thomas Hardy
The trees are undressing, and fling in many places—
On the gray road, the roof, the window-sill—
Their radiant robes and ribbons and yellow laces;
A leaf each second so is flung at will,
Here, there, another and another, still and still.
A spider's web has caught one while downcoming,
That stays there dangling when the rest pass on;
Like a suspended criminal hangs he, mumming
In golden garb, while one yet green, high yon,
Trembles, as fearing such a fate for himself anon.

A few years ago, I looked into Romanian as a part of personal study I did for a few Germanic and Romance languages. It was a rather superficial research, to be more exact. I didn't get to actually learn it.
I've found this song back then: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzXnejLXRv4 ("Impotriva Lor" by Alexandra Ungureanu)
It is still good. Well it has violin included in the instrumentals so I am in. Haha
A consideration of taking time off the phone...
Today, about everyone is given access to the biggest source of information ever known to history; the Internet. Technology sure is in a continuous advancement, and it became almost impossible to dismiss even on a daily basis with how the world is today, and this digital accessibility to information is one of its off-shoots. But it's good, isn't it? To have all of this information, which can benefit you? Sure. The issue is that everyone is too distracted with all of the content available. And much of said content is addictive to consume. It's a clear fact in the world today, that more of the population has been recorded to be suffering from an increased level of stress, social isolation and decreased attention span.* The latter getting worse by time. While correlation of the two does not necessarily mean it's the causation, but one can definitely notice a difference of at least two issues out of these three that are likely caused by the constant distractions of the internet, or screens in general when taking a break from them.
So, here's something you may try: schedule a day where you can be free from your device(s). If you were a heavy user, you'll notice that you have plenty of free-time. Add an activity or two(off-line) to be engaged. Beware that you might find that your screen time has increased suddenly the next day, so try not to use your device after you just wake up and do something else early in the day.
After the day is over, note down how that went for you.

*You may research more about this prevalent issue, if wanted. There are has been plenty of research regarding this issue over the past years.

Before yesterday, I took a day-off of this device right here myself. Even from wearing earphones too, despite that being the most effective coping mechanism for some symptoms I experience. Well, kind-of. Since I went to take an exam and needed to take a call to come back to the house, and also did a meditation by following a saved recording. The thing about just sitting down and observing your surroundings has something unique to it. You may suddenly notice some details here and there you haven't seen before or get an idea for a solution to a problem that perhaps has been irking you for long. Sometimes, I think, having this silent 'time out' from the constant onslaught of distractive content or cybernetic interactions in general can be productive in itself...
I think this was sent before in a community. I happened to find that I saved it in the device some time ago. Well I guess the one(s) who made it was/were really bothered by the people who kept slandering her / their group.
That's fair. This part of Islam, the hijab, I never found an issue with, for it is not a good argument since usually it comes from a subjective point of view where it's simply disliked. Which doesn't invalidate the religion.
I still wear the headscarf anyway. IDK, it's comfortable.(':
Well, I never understood why somehow in this current age, valuing modesty is considered to be outlandish in a way, and even deemed worthy of distate of the individuals who are traditionally modest. While the definition of modesty can vary, I figure that we can still agree that how many women's images are portrayed in the world today is totally not modest. Especially in certain 'industries'. And the worst part is you'd see women who actually promote wearing less and view it as an empowerment.
..Or is it just me who's mad here because I find it odd how women themselves put their almost all, if not all, value in their physiques?
