What's one thing most people don't know about you? I pick at my skin 20-60 minutes a day but I am working to stop it!!

I am such a people pleaser that I put my own needs and feelings behind others rather than say no or be critical. I joke around about how I would never let myself be used as a doormat, but that couldnt be further from the truth. The idea of confrontation makes me physically ill.
Dear @Blessed81, oh yes ... wanting to please people, always accommodating, afraid to offend or disappoint anyone. (As if we're not worthy and have to earn every smile or scrap of affection. It took me years to stop volunteering to be a doormat, and there are still times when it seems easy to slip back into that mode. But mostly, I know my merits are just fine, thankyouverymuch. I don't have to try so hard--I can just be.)
@Annie, beautifully said! I got into a fight with my brother earlier tonight and have spent the last few hours thinking that I didnt have the right to argue my side. I dont know what its going to take to claim validity for my feelings but Im ready for it.

Most people wouldn't know how much I am agoraphobic. I play off on but just don't care to be around people. My cats and my books are enough for me.
People don't know that I am mixed with Vietnamese, Chinese, Cambodian and French!

I say most because I personally haven't told anyone-until now-but its still possible that someone knows. I self harm and I know its 'bad' but sometimes its the only way I feel anything at all. Most of the time all I feel is hurt, which is different them pain, hurt is emotional. When it comes to feelings if all you ever feel is hurt or nothing sometimes pain is the only way to help.

I was sexually abused when I was a kid. It lasted for a few years. I think there are only two friends who know about this.
@ClaudiaSpinach same here. It sucks. But any time i ever said it out loud, even if just online, really helped me feel empowered. It was like the more i would talk about it, the more i let it go until it barely has a hold on me. It sucks when you feel like it consumes you. Whatever you can do to find little pieces of freedom from your past... one day at a time.

@ClaudiaSpinach I gotta say that you're so strong and brave to pull through those difficult years. The experience is painful, I understand that. Just like you, one friend of mine was sexually abused when she was little. I think that for victims of sexual abuse like you and my friend, it takes a lot of courage to be vocal about the incidents, the pains, the anger or any other negative and hurtful feelings. I admire you for speaking up about your pain. You're such a strong person, mate, don't ever forget that 
That I spend a lot of time on this site and in the chatrooms more than chatting with my real friends.
