There are many kinds of education and intelligence.

We can teach people to read and write and do math, but more than that we need them to learn how to talk and communicate, which is at a terrible lack in this world.

We also need to learn how to think for ourselves than follow agents that provide us with information blindly.

In today's world, we don't know how to talk to others or even ourselves, or what to talk about and what not to. Everything is at a disconnect and disadvantage. Sure we could travel to the moon, but what good is it if we can't learn to live in peace with each other on the only land we have.

Sensitivity.

Let's say I were to crush a plastic bottle, I would call it sensitive, like it's impressionable, I can leave a mark on it easily and change it.

Now if I take a brick and try and stamp on it like I would have tried with the bottle, it won't be so impressionable, it would be less sensitive to change.

Similarly I think we misuse the word sensitivity.

I think those whom we see as misfits or who don't fit into the norms and feel too much than others are the ones who are less sensitive, rather than sensitive. Because they are not as impressionable as the rest who are easily impressionable and can learn to switch off their emotions because that's what the terrible and cruel world requires of them to survive.

Those who are sensitive are sensitive to the demand of the environment and can adapt and change into rather less perceptive beings, because perceiving too much in a world That's dark isn't good for the mind. So they shut off and display characteristics that protect them from being vulnerable to showing emotions or even feeling them to a greater degree. So I would say they are more sensitive because their perception of level of doeth of emotions is less.

But those who are less sensitive tend to be the ones who show a greater or heightened sense of perception of emotions, I'm short they feel more even though the world would prefer them to not do so, so in a way they are less sensitive to this world and it's demands, and in this path of reasoning it makes sense to call them lacking sensitivity.

Self harm

I think self harm is nothing but substitution of pain.

From my personal experience, indulging in a form of self harm is a way to replace the pain one has that is less tangible than one which is more tangible and easy to cope with.

Like not wearing warm clothes in winter is my way to keep myself battling with the cold and keep my mind at bay from being occupied by rather a pain that I can't put my hands around, like that of circumstances I can't change such as financial problems or other trauma in my subconscious.

So to substitute that pain of let's say life and trauma with that of something tangible like the cold, it gives me something else to cope with and think about, which is seemingly easy to cope with even though it brings pain.

@Rivelino3 and I think pain substitutes pain well. It fits the mould so that's why our mind chooses self harm, because pain that is seemingly more tangible will just numb the demons that aren't visible

Does it matter how long they were together that night? To lovers, an hour can last a century. But even for lovers, every hour ends.

We all are imperfect, frail and pregnable.

Yet we are expected to play god. That's the standard we set for ourselves, what we wish to be and be saved by.

This world isn't for those who have a heart. It needs a lot of good people, kind people, self sacrificing people and ones who feel. Yet it makes it impossible for them to exist.

because this place demands you to think for yourself and not feel too much, because that's what the sane thing to be is, when all you would end up feeling is hopelessness.

So, any person going out of his/her own way helping would be an anomaly. Rejecting what the world wants him/her to be and being empathetic and giving.

An anomaly, and maybe that's what sometimes miracles are made of, not What's the right thing, but the wrong ones.

That's what everyone thinks--they think being a cop is about punishing people for doing wrong. But that's not true. You know it isn't. It's about believing in people, believing in the good. In the will of people to do what's right despite their own instincts.

I was just so afraid.... So afraid of being seen through, of being caught, that I missed the point. I missed the most important fact of it all, which is quite simply...they want to believe in you up there.... The audience wants to forget who's under the mask. But they don't want to forget because of obfuscation...no, they want to forget it's you by virtue of the passion of your performance. They want to be transported.... Transported to a world where bigger truths are at work, and anything--anything--can happen. A world where the impossible is possible. Batman can be someone like that for them, Bruce. Someone who defies every damn rule of logic that governs their lives.

Times moves differently down here in the dark. With no sunlight or shadows. No weather at all.
There's no future, no right now. Nothing but your memory to keep you company. But they keep me so angry and weak. I can barely think straight.
How long have I been locked up...wuuks? months?
I don't even konow how I got to this place. There are times I don't even know who I am anymore.

It's a fight we have to fight.

To be sane in a mad world.

Only way out is to reject reality and build your own. Believe in fairy tales and know the golden rule "Nothing is too weird"

It never was about being good as much as it is it about feeling good.

Accepting you are Human and being kind to yourself, understanding yourself and knowing you are more than what you do and think and say and irrespective of it all you still deserve love. Never take love away, it's what keeps us sane. It's all we have and need.

I think, we should be more selfish. The more we give to ourselves, the more we will give to the world. The more kind we are to us, the more kind we can be to others.

It starts with talking to yourself and remembering the power that your words hold, both the good and bad. And remembering to choose good.

Because all we do and say and believe in forms the pathway of who we are and can be.
