World Day of Listening - What I love about listening is...
What I love about listening is seeing through the window into how really human everyone is. People come from different walks of life and have different experiences and face different challenges. Yet I can't help but notice how really similar we all are deep down inside.

If you're not a listener but want to give it a go, you can get started here.
What I love about listening is that sometimes silence speaks louder than words, sometimes you don't need words to appreciate what another person may be feeling....however, hearing and seeing another person when they are speaking can be easier for the receiver/observer to get a better picture and understanding of what is going on for that person but it is not always about what is spoken, sometimes its about what's not been said/shared :)
What I love about listening is that it puts me into someone else's world for a moment to hear their story, share their pain or joy, and it puts everything in my own world in perspective again. All these beautiful people with so many situations, so much love and kindness to share.
@LadyAcajou. Thank you for the time you give to other, who feel lost and worthless, you are awesome !
@Heather What I love about listening is discovering myself as I see part of me in the struggles I listen to & support, and experimenting with questions that invite person to become aware of how they self sabotage when they do, and supporting others living mindfully and joyfully.
What I love about listening is that i dont have to speak to convey my thoughts to other, I just need to make myself available for others to listen to them. I feel i have been given two ears and one mouth by God for a reason to listen twice as much I speak.
@fancyLake23. Thank you for being a listener, you are awesome for giving your time to help others!
I get to give the attention i didnt receive when i needed it.
You learn a lot by listening to others about all kinds of subjects and may change your perspective on certain things
Trying to fit myself into their shoes and ask the right questions and make the right comments to get the person to where they want to be. I also love hearing back from someone I have spoken to before since I take it to mean they liked me enough to want to talk to me again and also the fact I get to find out how much I helped.
@Dawn04 thank you for being a listener, know that you make a difference in the lives of others
I am not a listener, but I have out that my participation in forum, I love, my new goal in life is to help others, especially with depression, anxiety and low self-esteem, all that I struggle with. Keeping focused on others that are hurting, and showing love and kindness is what I enjoy, I have not had any severe mental health issues in over a week, I had been struggling daily for many months. Thankyou God and 7 cups!
