February 18th: Respect (Random Acts of Kindness Week)

QuickJazz February 18th, 2017

Today is the final day of Random Acts of Kindness Week!

Today's theme: Respect.

So this week we have focused on kindness and the various ways of which you can help encourage kindness in your life, by introducing various things to help boost it. We are ending this week with one of the foundations of kindness: Respect.

Respect involves having consideration for others (regarding their thoughts, feelings, needs and rights). Being open in this way allows us to build better interactions with those around us. This can lead to things like hearing others out and even taking steps to support their needs in a helpful way. These acts are ones of kindness. Respectful relationships built between people or communities can lead to a mutual and fulfilling giving and receiving kindness. Without respect, we may completely miss out on so much goodness we all have to offer. The same can apply for when we do not have respect for ourselves. So building a consideration for ourselves and others can be very beneficial and enriching to our lives.

With that in mind, below are a few things planned before this week comes to a close!

Respect:a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.

Respect is being forgotten, we need to remember that in order to have respect for ourselves, we need to have respect for each other. It doesn't matter if what they do it small, it doesn't matter what color their skin is or their sexuality. They could be homeless, but we should still have respect for them. If you would like any more clarification on this go to: https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=XeAADn4HCXo and watch Markiplier address this. Warning there is language. I respect Markiplier very much, and this video really made an impact on me.

Aw thank you! It is inspired by the official website itself @Celaeno

It's so funny you say that though because I thought exactly the same about your profile picture with the colour you used for your post on positivity day! My favourite colour is green, light/bright greens.
