March Leader of the Month: AYLA!
Congrats to @Ayla for being one of our March Leaders! Ayla is such a joy. Thanks for all you do Ayla!!!!
What roles or projects are you involved in on 7 Cups?
I am a Peer Supporter for 7 cups, Support Session Leader for the Trauma , Parenting and Pregnancy and Safety Communities, as well as a group support moderator for those three, and a Forum Supporter for Trauma and Parenting and Pregnancy.
What has been your biggest accomplishment on 7 Cups?
It's difficult to pick one, I value and enjoy all of my roles ,but what makes me truly happy, and feeling really good about being part of the community, is seeing how the little help we could provide sometimes, actually makes a difference. The moment I felt most proud of myself as being part of 7cups was when I got my peer support badge.
How would you describe 7 Cups in one word?
Fascinating.
What is your favorite 7 Cups memory?
My favourite 7 cups memory is one of my Trauma Support sessions, when all of the participants, as well as me, had an incredible time, we talked, shared, laughed, it was overall a great experience.
What is the best vacation you've ever been on?
Summer of 2011 when I visited Greece with my family. The captivating scenery of the sea, surrounded by gentle hills and lovely weather - it was absolutely fantastic. I went to an Aqua park where I got to play with dolphins and sea turtles! Their food is amazing as well, too bad it's hard to find in Ireland!
If you could have any super power, what would you have?
I wanted to be a doctor when I was little and I've always been driven towards healing, in one way or another, so I guess healing would be my superpower of choice! Fast-travel would be quite handy, too.
What is your favorite inspirational quote? (and why)
The scariest moment is just before you start ' Stephen King.
It could be very scary and discouraging to look at our goals and all the things we have to do, not knowing where to start, or feeling like it's just impossible to get everything done. But I do believe that if we just do something very small towards our goal, day by day, and we give ourselves the privilege to feel empowered and believe in ourselves, once we do the initial step, things will start looking better.
If you could give one tip to a brand new listener or member what would it be?
For all the listeners who are just getting started their 7cups journey, I just want to say how appreciated you are. 7cups is driven by the hundreds of thousands amazing individuals, who want to help and make this place better. Just remember that while this is a great opportunity to learn and grow, take things at your own time, there will always be someone else available if you can't do something - look after yourself, you matter just as much as anyone else.
For all the members - Don't get discouraged, know that there are people who would be honoured to support you. You are all beautifully unique and special and you could find the help you need.

Aylaaaa!! (I've also just realized I've been calling you Alya when it's actually Ayla, oops.) Oh my goodness, I'm so glad to see your name in this months list. You are such a warmhearted, down to earth person that you can't help but hang around with. It's always a joy to see you in pm's or the listener rooms. I'm also truly in awe of your responses on the questions! Greece sounds like a breathtaking place and one I'd add onto the list of places I'd love to visit. Your quote as well is very true and something to truly ponder about. Congratulations again, @Ayla
