I always thought of you as cold-blooded, but you showed me your golden warmth. 

I felt it was sweet, so I said it. You told me I was being too sensitive.

You could at times be rugged, but I kept going forth. 

I said I cared for you, I meant it, but you thought of me as demented. 

You had to go and correct me, like you always do. I could never be my true self while talking to you.

Maybe I could share my likes and dislikes, but they'd have to be your taste. Otherwise, I know there'd be a judgmental look on your face.
