O stupid heart!
Why do you love?
When you know that
He's never gonna be yours
But someone else's.
Oh stupid mind!
Why do you let?
My heart win over
When you are sure that
She makes no sense.
And my dear soul!
Why must you bend?
To my heart's will and
Fall too hard for him
In this insane love.

A beautiful piece. Unrequited love is such a fertile and powerful topic, and you have captured it's desperate longing wonderfully. It sounds like a soliloquy, and is loaded with pathos without seeming melodramatic.

Hi Athena! It is a wonderful piece. A mixture of truths that lie for us to uncover and facts that can never be buried- that our soul is swayed easily, our mind a little to good a logical thinker but it falls prey to the gullible, soft heart which trusts as if there is no tomorrow!! Keep it up! ^^

@Athena108 We All Feel that spark of seeing someone and cant resist to fall in liking the person Weather it be behavior, looks ,Nature or xyz The first feeling first time when i was teen was amazing just felt like gained a superpower When i like a person . I Became shy close to that person but filled with courage whenever she was around .what a duality of lIKING SOMEONE ....Happens differently to all but still the first feeling of having and experience that very moment is .....Beautiful, calm and peaceful ✌️ ☺️ Your poem reminded me of that very first moment thx for writing.
