the sea of sand - poem
just a speck,
in an open, endless dream.
it's restlessly waiting
on the coastline of the hourglass beach.
with dying hospitality,
the speck pleads to leave it be.
let it be,
so it pleads,
let it be swept in the mindless motions,
of rolling over hills and valleys,
with no noise, other than the soft breathing;
the soft breathing of ignorant relief.
the mirage of bliss holds fast to them,
as it does to the grand sand sea.
but the one little grain that tumbled off the trail
now watches them from afar, flowing free.
@tokkittalgi This poem has beautiful -- haunting imagery. The "speck" on the "coastline of the hourglass beach" feels small and lost in the vast flow of time, yet yearns for release. The gentle "soft breathing" and "mindless motions" create a serene, dreamlike atmosphere, while the "mirage of bliss" adds a touch of longing and illusion. It’s a quiet reflection on freedom and solitude, wrapped in stunning, vivid imagery. Good work!

I very much agree with @azureponds comments. Your piece has a lonely, slightly ethereal quality. It's tone is distant, almost melancholic but with a sense of movement that makes the feeling fleeting and hard to define. Well done.
@tokkittalgi I love this so very much I wish you would publish it xD 👏👏
