I have been getting soooo many reality checks ✅ lately, it's kinda crazy😩.

@Calling123 hello there, well for me the expectation would have me in my rich girl error, enjoying my days with my friends, reality would be me struggling with a pile of books looking worn out.

Expectation: Me as Mark (Ace Goodheart) from the Sci-Fi anime series - in a white leather suit, a space helmet with a fancy curved visor, flying like an angel, with feather-like wings.
Reality: Me as a semi-bald guy in a baseball cap and a t-shirt, taking my disabled friend in a wheelchair for a walk or shopping.
Bottom line: Sometimes reality exceeds fantasies.

Although I don't watch anime as much, I definitely do the same with books 😅
Sometimes fantasies are more entertaining 🤷♀️
@Calling123 Me too, but it was the only anime I knew in my childhood (and probably through my entire life, too 😉 ).
Oh, yes, taking out my light sabre from three feet of snow just by the force of the will, or meeting Yoda in person would be great 😃

@Calling123 Expectation: I am always surrounded with people who cares for me or at least think me as a good friend.
Reality: I am lonely with friends at school only and one of them is toxic. 😞

Reality: getting the worst grades of my life and ended up crying in class haha…

Expectation: Me in a small but well-equipped workshop, looking trim & hard like old hickory, turning out superbly crafted canes & other wooden things.
Reality: Me with half my hair gone, sometimes prone due to chronic conditions, other times working on a project out on my half-rotted patio, always hurting somewhere.
Lesson: Limit your expectations, as much as you can. The higher the expectation, the more you'll be disappointed. Life wasn't made just for you.
