@OneErased

I think moving away from a toxic environment is one of the most important parts of healing from the trauma. It must have been really great to finally break free from all of that. I think ups and downs are also normal. We can't always have good days. We just do what we can. I really hope your week has been mostly good days with many more good days to come ^^

@LavenderFlower This is such a positive post <3 Thank you so much for your lovely reminder ^-^

๐ŸŒธWhat is a positive experience you had that had a big impact on your life?

I think it's painting, never thought I could paint well but now that I know I can it is just all smiles and peace. Painting even made me actually see the beauty in nature like how pretty the clouds are or how many shades of green are there in nature and how important darkness is to bring out the colors.

๐ŸŒธHow are you feeling this week?

I am feeling pretty good :) Hope you are doing well <3

@BlueDarkAurora

It's no problem Aurora! I think sometimes we all need a reminder ^^ I can totally understand the whole thing about painting! I turned to art as well in my darkest time. It helps to get it out there and to get to see things from a new perspective. I found myself starting to enjoy the darker aspects of life instead of running away from it. Until you really start to understand all those dark undertones, you never really see how dark undertones make brighter areas pop or contribute to a more majestic atmosphere! I'm really glad you're doing well! I am as well~ I wish you many more great days to come

@LavenderFlower

Hi, Flower,

1. What is a positive experience you had that had a big impact on your life?

i started therapy and taking psychiatric medication about 20 years ago

๐ŸŒธHow are you feeling this week?

I feel ok at times, I feel afraid at other times, and I feel grief at other times, yet still.

@purpleTree4652

Hey there again Purple! Therapy is super helpful for coming to terms with, healing, and learning to cope with your disorder. I'm really happy that, in combination with medication, it was able to help you. Having ups and downs are all part of being human, and I think it's okay to be afraid at times or even feel grief. Being okay is ideally where we would like to be, but it takes time, sometimes a lot of time. There is no magic time where healing miraculously happens, and that's okay. I want you to know you're doing amazing because you are doing all you can. Despite all of what has happened, you are here and that's awesome ๐Ÿ’œ

Positive experience: A couple times in intensive inpatient program. Ours was a good one and had a great DBT instructor.

My week: Had a total Ducky moment from Pretty In Pink. Or CD moment from Roxanne.

@Aqua79

Hey Aqua. That's great! DBT is really good for coming to terms with your disorder, improving relationships, regulating emotions, as well as coping. If you find DBT to be helpful, I recommend you check out the link I posted at the end of the thread for DBTuesday if you haven't already. Every Tuesday we talk about different DBT skills and how we can use them! By the way, two really great films! My guess is you possibly like someone and are afraid to tell them? ๐Ÿ™Š

More or less, yes. Friends for awhile. Both getting out of LTR's. Go on a friendly date, have a great time, aaaannnd... find out she's already interested in someone else. She showed me his picture. Tall, handsome, stable, wants the same things she does. Pretty much everything I can't be. ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜ญ

It's all good. Pain is good sometimes. It means I actually genuinely felt something for someone. Which is something worth cherisimgh in my small world. ๐Ÿ’ชโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน
