Are borderline personality disorder and anxiety linked?

generousSunrise61 February 13th, 2018

I suffer severe social anxiety and agoraphobia and the last few weeks my anxiety has gotten really bad again. I started a new job in December and I find it makes my anxiety so bad that I really struggle to cope at work and the only way I can get through my work day is to totally zone out and pretend Im not at work, Ive had a few people said to me that I look bored and fed up and it makes me feel guilty as I am meant to be promoting products but if I dont feel a connection with them how can I promote them? Has anyone else experienced this? I worry I will lose my job if I dont get my act together. Any advice welcome 🙏

It must be incredibly hard to focus and do a promotional work when anxiety is hitting so badly. i wonder whether the meditations for anxiety or mood uplifting on this site could be helpful to you. sorry for not being able to give advice but it can sometimes be wrong or harmful because how you think and feel is unique. i hope you will get better soon.

Hi. Yes, Anxiety and BPD can go hand in hand. I suffer from anxiety, but my therapist only diagnosed me with BPD and Major Depressive Disorder, as she told me that the anxiety is part of my BPD, so not diagnosing it seperately.

I'm sorry you're struggling so much at work. I know that feeling well. Work is tough enough, but throw in a lack of care for the products/services and it just makes it so much harder.

I hope you feel better soon. :)
