The sound of rustling leaves startles you and an indistinguishable voice chirps up. "Hi, welcome to Imp's Impervious Inn. I am creation number 87088312, but some call me "Blobber", "Blobbie", "Blobino/Blobinna, or "Blob" for short." 
A small gelatinous creature, no more than 3ft/91.44cm said as it emerged from the bushes of the inn, as it fixated it's tiny beady black eyes up at you. As it waddled up to you, it's jelly jiggled with each pace. "I'm sure you have a lot of questions, so I will give you a brief about the inn, the owner, and myself!" It continued as it dressed down a bit into something more comfortable, and it's form slightly altered, with the jelly oozing out of the clothes and it's voice changing to a lower pitch. Its height rose by a couple of inches/centimeters. 
"This is the place for those would would like to chat with the inn master -- ImpudentIncognito--who has been called many names --whether it's Imp, Cog, Nito, Racal, Pleb, Miscreant, or scum beneath my boots! They are currently at this Inn. If they are unavailable, you can leave a written letter with me, and I will report it back to the master." A monstrous-sized grin crept up on the gelatinous creature's face from one side to the other. The goo from it's body twirled into a tornado until it became human-sized. It stood confidently and motioned for you to follow it inside the inn, while opening the door for you.
"Occasionally, we might have a few ruffians, travellers, royalty, commoners, and loyal clients who come into the inn. They have different quests to offer and may or may not be chatty, depending on the day.. Sometimes, you may have bards who would like to play you music, sometimes there are jesters who would like to share jokes with you, other times, mysterious nomads may have riddles for you to solve to earn a cool souvenir!"
The blob prattled on as it wobbled inside the tavern, not used to walking with humanoid legs.
"Furthermore, there are days when the tavern is empty, and some days where it's crowded with people, monsters, and everyone in-between. Since you're new here...I can give you a quest to start off with!"

"Goodluck on the quest!" the blob stated before it began to retreat into the back of the tavern morphing into a small blue jelly form. "I'll bring out the big boss for you to talk to while they're here. Oh and..."
"I can shape shift into anything, change colours, and divide my body to make more of us!"
"Meow" purred the slimy cat creature that oozed it's way over to the bar counter of the Inn. "I have different 'personas', it's all me but also NOT me! I can be one person or many. I may have a lot of quests some days, and others, I may not! But worry not, adventurer, there are other folks, as I mentioned, that happen across the tavern so you don't have to only talk to lil ol' me." It said while making a cute poses with it's gelatinous, pudgy finger up to it's beaming smiling. "But...Feel free to talk to me about anything -- or to the Inn Master, my lady/lord."
The blob squished its form into a puddle and scuttled under a closed door behind the inn's bar and that's where the inn master reappeared.

Master Nito, it was delightful to come across your inn. The world outside is quite draining, I’d just like to rest a little in a quiet corner of your tavern if you don’t mind. I’m too consumed by the outside world to take up the quest right now but I’ll slowly go through them. It would be nice to meet fellow travellers or maybe make your acquaintance over a cup of something refreshing. Also, do you have control over blob’s appearance? Are you friends or is it perhaps a summon?

since blob did mention his creation number, does this imply there are more of them? Are you the creator?

Anything you can think of, as our bartending and barista alchemists can concoct anything you can imagine, even from things outside of this universe. Can we get you started on perhaps a tea or lemonade? I'll have Blobber come down here to get your order. BLOBBER!
A loud CRASH noise could be heard in the background, and suddenly a green puddle began oozing out of the door behind the Inn's counter that appeared to be where the employee's area was at. Blobber had bits and pieces of silver utensils stuck in it as it wore a friendly smile on it's face.
"Hello master, fancy seeing you out here walking the Inn floor..."
The master of the Inn chuckled to themself as they saw the forks jammed into Blob. The master sighed and shook their head slightly, while still having an amused look on their face. The master placed one hand on the blob and pushed, while they grabbed the fork with the other and pulled it out of the gelatinous fellow.
Are you feeling alright Blobber? What happened back there?
The master inquired the jellied one.
Actually, tell me about that later -- Let's get our guest a refreshing beverage. Could you go bring a fresh lemonade to start and have the manager Reina check and see if the band has arrived yet please?
Said the master quickly right after.
"Roger that captain!"
The gelatinous creature slinked away to a different door in the Inn that led to a tavern where the water elemental known as Reyna was busy making sure the tavern part of the Inn was running smoothly. Blob quickly changed into a humanoid form wearing it's chef outfit before approaching the manager Reyna.
"Oh, Blobber, I'm glad you're here! We just got the band "Hemo Goblin" assembled over here. Could you go fetch them some drinks before they get started? Just a give them the best quality beer we have here, you know goblins, they're pretty....simple."
"I have to run now and finish up with some other tasks, toodles.~"
Reyna said before giving Blobber a quick peck on it's gelatinous cheek while the blob blushed.
Blobber quickly retrieve the drinks for the Hemo Goblin band, which consisted of a drummer, lutist, and flutist.

Blobber returned to the front part of the Inn with a lemonade in it's hand as it handed it to Bluewind.
"Here's a nice refreshing lemonade to start off your day, or rather, night here at the Inn, heh. Also, just wanted to let you know there's a band called the Hemo Goblin currently playing in the back! Come join us on that side."
The oozing humanoid said cheerily while motioning you to come join them.

Aah the lemonade was refreshing and with the live performance it just hits the spot. It is a mysterious place indeed. Does time run differently inside the inn? It was sweltering hot outside but it feels like a cozy winter evening over here.
I think I’d like to try some special concoctions by the alchemists. I can’t bring myself to decide though, the possibilities are way too much. I can imagine stuff out of this world but I have no idea what they would taste like. What if stardust, despite looking magical, just tastes like…dust? Aaahh idk help me out, master. Recommend something you like, something there’s no way I would have ever had in my life before.
I wonder if Reyna talks to the travellers too, she might be too busy so I wouldn’t want to impose on her. Everyone seems to have a story. It’s my first time listening to the hemogoblins too, are they a regular here? Do other bands come by as well? It would be lovely to hear some soothing vocals.
Since you seem to be a kind listener, let me tell you a bit about myself. I have a trial coming up in a week. Less than a week actually, since today is almost gone. It is a huge trial which is held once in a year with scholars from all over the world participating. I spent this year preparing myself for it, but now that there’s so little time left, now that I should be putting my soul into going through all that I gathered through the year for one last time, I find myself faltering. I spent the last few days spacing out, bumping from door to door in meaningless pursuits and viling away precious precious time which I will definitely regret. I do not know why I can’t bring myself to just focus on using whatever time I have with me. I feel like it is slipping away after my reach with each passing minute. Other scholars must be burning their life force trying to use each breath they take to prepare them for the trial. Honestly I’m scared. I’m falling behind what I had planned for myself. It’s just that the stakes are so high. Ahh thinking too much doesn’t help. Don’t mind me, I’ll just be sipping my lemonade and try flipping through some scrolls here. I hope things work out somehow. Please bring out the drink you choose for me, I’d love anything that isn’t too hot right now.
