📢 Exciting News: Introducing the Pen Pals Community!
We're thrilled to announce the launch of our newest community addition: Pen Pals! 🌐
Why Pen Pals?
Over time, we've observed a delightful surge in threads where users aim to stay in touch outside our chat rooms, whether due to aging up or simply desiring a dedicated space for connections. In response to this, we're introducing the Pen Pals Community to provide an exclusive platform for these valuable interactions.
Key Features:
1. 🤝 Stay Connected: Connect with fellow members beyond the chat rooms.
2. 🏡 Dedicated Space: A centralized hub for threads aimed at maintaining connections.
3. 🔄 Thread Relocations: Threads used for communication in other communities will be relocated here.
How This Impacts You:
1. Existing Threads: Threads used for communication will be relocated to the Pen Pals Community for a seamless transition.
2. New Threads: Going forward, please create all communication threads within the Pen Pals Community.
Enhancement to Communication Threads:
When creating these threads, please include in the title and body the usernames of those the thread is intended for. This personal touch ensures a clear connection.
📌 Example:
Title: "Chat with @Username1 and @Username2 – Memories and Updates!"
Body: "Hey @Username1 and @Username2, let's keep the conversation going in this thread!"
Additionally, you can request others to avoid commenting in your thread space if needed.
Why the Change?
- Centralized Conversations: Concentrating all communication threads in one space for better organization.
- Personalized Touch: Including usernames ensures that your message reaches the right individuals.

Thanks 🍒 🥭.Thrilled to be here.💖
Love this idea! I remember being a bit concerned years ago when I saw the first few of these, but they were inclusive.
Since then there have been more and more, not all inclusive and with teens aging up it's very understandable, plus friendships between members developing over time.
Having this place especially for the exclusive threads is a great way to balance this!
@Tinywhisper11 What do you think?
@communicativeJet616 @AnnaBanana06
Thanks for the tag ❤❤ pen pals hey🤔🤔 I would make a great one pal😁 I am pretty awsome, I'm already supporting a few people on the forums, that I answer daily. This would be much easier ❤
how much do I get paid????
@Tinywhisper11
Will you like to be paid with cookies and ice cream instead ? 😊 😃
@CheeryMango awesome idea
@CheeryMango
How does this work?
@Georginahowe @heather225 @ASilentObserver @7cupscommunity and safety/internet safe leader person who I forgot who that is right now...
I agree, Georgina. How does this work?
Aren't we just saying, "hey bring your private-not-private threads over here to this space?" Because, in reality, anyone could still come in and read what I was meaning to write to just my one friend. Right? Even if I asked for people to not comment in the "me + one or two" other users - our own posting area for Pen Pals, *anyone* can still read it, even from off of 7cups? Is this a safety question? I'm not even sure! Please a bit of clarification. Thanks, leaders!
By the way, as someone else said, perfect choice for the name! :) #PenPals #PenPal #NeedAPenPal ?! <3 Platy

Like anything on the internet, you should be mindful of what you post. This platform is anonymous by design and culture, but we cannot create completely private spaces. The purpose of this community's creation is to give a more quiet and special place for those who enjoy the idea of having a pen pal. Posts within this community don't surface in the feed to help keep it more low-key and comfortable.

Tip: If you don't want anyone besides the person you're writing with to leave replies, you can state that in your opening post and flag any unwanted replies to be removed by our forum team.
Some time has passed since the Pen Pals forum was made. I have a question: How many of the threads that were started in the beginning are still going today?
At least one is dead; another was erased due to incompatible personalities. I figure those can't be the only threads to end up like that...
Is there a way to check if people have subscribed to our threads, and to remove them, if needed? I had a chat that had random "likes" every so often. It felt uncomfortable. Thanks!
@jesusredeemedme2425
Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to see who has subscribed to your threads or to remove them. Since the forums are public, anyone can view and interact with your posts. One solution might be to add a friendly disclaimer asking that only tagged individuals read, post, or like your content. We hope everyone respects this. If anyone who shouldn't be responding does so, please flag their posts, and they will be removed and reminded about the purpose of the space.
