Early Pregnancy

Hello, I'm six weeks pregnant, and I've just had my blood test. It showed an indication of thalassemia, which could potentially harm the baby. This trait can come from either me or my partner. We will have another blood test on Monday to confirm. I'm worried 😟

Waiting for the confirmation can be stressful, so it's important to find ways to support yourself during this time. Keep in mind that your healthcare provider will be able to guide you through the next steps, whether that's additional testing or discussions about what this means for you and your baby. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to your doctor. They can provide you with the most accurate information and reassurance. In the meantime, try to take care of yourself—stress management techniques, like deep breathing or gentle exercise, can help. You’re not alone in this, and support is available.

Thank you so much for your support. It's all good now. My partner's blood test is clean. Just need to wait for 12 week ultrasound
