Lee lee Lyric!
Here's a little icebreaker for y'all! 🥶(hehe)
What's your favorite lyric from a song? And how does it make you feel?
Here is one of my favorites:
I have climbed highest mountains
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you
I have run
I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
~ I still haven't found what I'm looking for: U2
Well haha in the name of a lyric I have an entire verse right here! But yes, the entire verse- no, the whole song, has beautiful and extremely touching lyrics.
I've looked everywhere, but I still haven't found what I'm looking for; these words remind me of my constant search for my desired destiny. The destiny I crave for. I will climb the highest mountains, run through the fields, do everything I can, just to unite with that destiny I've been looking for, for so long. But I still haven't found, what I'm looking for.
The song speaks of a person, but to me, these lines in particular, reminds me of my life, and the main character- myself.
What's your favorite lyric and how does it make you feel?😃

'Ranjish hi sahi dil hi dukhane ke liye aa
Aa phir se mujhe chod ke jaane ke liye aa'
MEANING:-
Let it be anguish, even to torture my heart, come
Come even if only to abandon me to torment again.
These are just two lines from an incredible Ghazal ( a form of Arabic poetry ) called 'Ranjish hi Sahi'.
These two lines especially shows the relentless love someone has and the extent to which someone can go to just get a glimpse of their beloved.
I don't have a whole verse, but there are two lyrical lines that come to mind.
"To love another person is to see the face of God." - Les Miserables
&
"Look around! Look around, at how lucky we are to be alive right now." - Hamilton
The first lyric reminds me of how deep genuine love for another human being can be, and the second feels like a powerful, call amidst war, conflict, and the process of rebuilding, to remember to value our small part is this beautiful and wild but messy world.
@Elephi
Both these lines, are extremely deep and beautiful.. Music captures the true essence of Love.
The second one, seems to be words that cause alarm and a sense of alertness among people. I love the way your interpreted it Elphi.. It's so touching..

And all I'm clinging to is prayers
And every breath is like a battle
I feel like I ain't come prepared
And death's knockin' on the front door
Pain's creepin' through the back
Fear's crawlin' through the windows
Waiting for 'em to attack
I'm workin' on switchin' them letters
But tell God, I'ma need a whole lotta hope keepin' it together
I'm smilin' in everyone's face
I'm cryin' whenever they leave the room
They don't know the battle I face
They don't understand what I'm goin' through
I'm just tryna find where to go
I'm tryna remember the way
I'm tryna get back to my home
But I can't do this on my own
That's why I'm just trusting in You
'Cause I don't know where else to go
And I don't know what else to do

i'll find you (feat. torri kelly)
@CompassionateArrow
Harder than a bullet could hit you
How do we fall apart?
Faster than a hairpin trigger
Don't say, don't you say it
One breath, it'll just break it
So shut your mouth and run me like a river

Hi, I hope all is doing okay. : )
Wow so many people shared great songs I decided to join the tag list to not miss out hehe. I have many song which I like, but I can think of this at the moment, it's a song from the series, true detective.
The emptiness that we confess
In the dimmest hour of day
In the common town they make a sound
Like the low sad moan of prey
The bitter taste the hidden face
Of the lost forgotten child
The darkest need the slowest speed
The debt un-reconciled
These photographs mean nothing
To the poison that they take
Before a moment's glory
The light begins to fade
The awful cost of all we lost
As we looked the other way
We've paid the price of this cruel device
'Til we've nothing left to pay
The river goes where the current flows
The light we must destroy
Events conspire to set afire
The methods we employ
These dead men walk on water
Cold blood runs through their veins
The angry river rises
As we step into the rain
These photographs mean nothing
To the poison that they take
The angry river rises
As we step into the rain

@CompassionateArrow right 😍
I think lyrically one of my favorite favorite songs is "Compass (I Will Lead You Home)" by Jonathan Antoine. It goes like this...
This song touches my heart every time I hear it. I couldn't pick just part of the lyrical content over the rest, although I abridged a repeat of the chorus. It's got such a comforting message.
If you'd like to hear the song, you can find the album version below.
@Elephi
