Celebrating Milestones!

Laura October 27th, 2014

Celebrate Milestones!

We are all in recovery. 7 cups is all about empowering us to overcome. Some groups have celebrations for a month of sobriety. I think we should have the same for any kind of victory we've achieved. No accomplishment is too small to share. If you you are socially anxious and you made it through a shopping trip at the mall, then post it here! If you broke up with someone and are now feeling like your normal self again, then post it here. If you struggle with an addiction, and you've been clean a day, a week, a month, or a year, then post it here.

We need to celebrate our victories! Remember, it is okay to relapse - that is part of the journey - the key is to just take a step in the right direction.

We are all in this together! Let's celebrate with one another to highlight milestones passed :)

i'm doing a lot better with anxiety

fearlessScarf48 February 16th, 2015

I'm struggling with depression, and after two years, I felt the urge to go outside again. Like, not just 'I should go running' or 'I have to go shopping' but real 'My god it's nice outside. I want to go out, just so I can be, you know,outside.'

It probably sounds unimportant, but it feels like I'm more functional because of it.

@LovePom

1. So that's 10 weeks now? WOW WOW WOW! That takes so much strength, I'm really proud of you! That is so much courage in that beautiful heart of yours ?

2. Controlling one's temper can be very difficult so it's completely awesome that you've managed to! That takes determination and a lot of effort!

3. Being honest about your feelings is a challenge that many underestimate. I also struggle to do this, so I'm in awe of the bravery you have. *applauds*

4. It is hard to work up the bravery to apologise to someone for your mistakes, but that just shows how strong a person you are. "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."I'm happy to hear that your friendship is rekindled once again, and I hope it goes well :)

I'm so so so proud of everything you've said, and I'm even prouder that you realise that these are awesome achievements. You rock!

No matter what happens, you should always always be proud of this awesomeness! 1 year requires so much strength, it really does. You're an inspiration to all! @AngelMimi2002 can I just give you a huge hug? *send a big polar bear hug* You're wonderful. Completely and utterly wonderful. To make that decision, a person needs a lot of strength, and perseverance. I'm so happy that you've decided on that, and it warms my heart that you're enjoying the pleasure of food once again. I hope that everything carries on so well and thank you for being such a beautifully amazing person, as well as a star that shines so bright! :)
