2025 Week #8 Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 02/17/25 - Sunday 02/23/25)

I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are usually much harder then we think. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

From years ago, I have a YT playlist of about 15 different meditation timers I i use. From 2 minute timers through 1 hour times with some tibeten bowls included and reiken timers.
It feels great to refresh my use of them.

@IsayUncle You can share the link here, it ll be helpful. i was going through the once in here(7cups). https://www.7cups.com/exercises/mindfulness518/
@energeticSkies3610

@energeticSkies3610
I feel ok. it wasn't long enough. 😃.
How do you feel?

@IsayUncle i feel calm and fresh.
@energeticSkies3610
BTW, do you use you tube?

@IsayUncle I use youtube
@energeticSkies3610
When you get a chance, look up gong timers. I like the "EGO park" ones. they are simple. I have a collection of these on my phone from 2 minutes to one hour. They are extremely effective when you wanna do personal meditation or silent meditation.

Thanks for the share. I missed the alarm and overslept. When I woke up and I did today's meditation. Have you meditated today?
@energeticSkies3610
That's great about the meditation. i just did wake up but i meditated yesterday. not today yet.
Did you see my post about the gong timers? As accountability partners I think we should talk extensively about our goal or current project including the processes and progress. What do you think?
It's never just about "DOING" the thing. It's about a absorbing the wholeness of something I think. How did your meditation go yesterday. I did a silent meditation for 5 minutes.... I was so tired, I almost fell asleep. LOL. Did you do a silent meditation or a guided meditation?
BTW, a quote about doing mundane tasks.
“Even
the mundane task of washing dishes by hand is an example of the small tasks and
personal activities that once filled people's daily lives with a sense of
achievement.” B. F. Skinner
A reminder..... there is no "golden feeling" of "oh yippeee, I feel like doing this thing". There is only the knowledge and logic that things need to be done and the reward comes after.... not before.
I remember what you said about not having any energy to do anything. So I was wondering if you wanted to pick out one small task to repeat every day until you got used to doing it. (in addition to the meditation).

Got my refund check and after having to pay fees for transactions that decided to process before the check was deposited, I was able to make payments on the hospital bill and other bills, get some shoes and clothes for work. I was also able to invest some even though it wasn't as much as much as I'd wanted to.
Got the target dates set for the new course. This one is apparently run by a graduate assistant and not a professor. Still have to create an account for the virtual lab site because it's different from the one I've used before.
And, I had someone ask on the art site that I'm on if I did requests. I said I would consider suggestions and received a lengthy dissertation on a show I'd never even heard of with extremely specific poses for the characters. This is why I don't do requests. For someone to be that exacting and detailed, it would seem that anything less than perfect would be unacceptable. When I do a picture, precision is the least of my worries because I usually end up doing something wrong in the process.
@Enthenia
wow, you are very active with things. I'm always impressed how you manage to juggle things even when things seem to be all over the place. lol.
As far as the art thing goes, it's not just you who doesn't like to take special orders. Is anybody that works and then somebody asks for a special request and it always always always a risk..... now that person won't be satisfied...... THAT IS NOT YOU.... that is business. So you take the job or you don't.
On a very upbeat side i didn't know that you did art. that is so cool! 😀 you should post something sometime when you have the time.
