Mindfulness rewires the brain

Probius December 28th, 2017

This is a great video that talks about how mindfulness meditation can actually rewire your brain: https://goo.gl/FUQeT6

People who practice mindfulness meditation experience the benefits of mindfulness even when they are not meditating. They have actually rewired their brains so that with practice they feel these benefits all the time. I found this to be profound, and I wanted to share it with Y'all. :)

HI Probius thank you for thissmiley It is very true mindfulness does rewire our brains. Our brains are like on auto pilot, trained by us to respond, feel a certain way, and many other things. With mindfulness we are rewiring "retraining" our brains to actually slow down and pay attention to what we are doing. I say to try something for at least 28 days and there you will find yourself doing that 1 thing automatically.

Wow yeah, you are right - consistency matters. And it can be a struggle at times for me - more like 28 months and not 28 days of concerted effort, haha! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜Š

HI Blackberrysmiley Consistancy is so very important to see if something truly is working for you. Trying it for a few days or on/off really doesn't give a great result. Come on-you can do it!!! WOOOHOOOOOyes

That was an amazing video on mindfulness Probius. Thank you for sharing with us. I agree it helps to rewire our mind. But it takes time and perseverance is the key there.
